They have a great inbuilt point scoring machine and that’s why they’re the best . They’ve always used the scrum this way . how to compete ? Pick for the same stature and make it KNOWn. Shortish, under 6 foot ideal monsters . That’s the leverage lift effect of a shorter prop
Doris had a great SA tour but was a bit up and down in the 6N IMO. He was still one of Irelands best players but he had a couple of off games especially vs England and Scotland. PSDT on the other hand has performed well in every game so far, don’t think he has had game worse than 8/10. Plus the WC final should count for this year too as the vote was done before the final last year so that edges him in front for me. These November games will be telling I think. Ireland have some tough games so Doris can put his hand up there. But personally I would love if Ox won because props need more recognition and he has had a great year.
Doris wouldnt start for the Boks or NZ. A 8 with such a small skillset, cheats at the breakdown, gets away with murder and should get WPOTY? I dont even think he would start over Cam Hannekom at the Bulls because he got owned by Hannekom.
