Aaron Spears - drumtalk [episode 41]

Although being super jet-lagged Aaron Spears sat down with me backstage at the Dresdner Drumfestival 2018 and made this an amazing episode.
Being one of Gospel Chops finest players out there he toured with so many big names like Usher, Gideon Band, David Cook, Lil Wayne, Chaka Khan and The Backstreet Boys he is also a very open and modest guy. Love it!

Rest in Heaven. Referring back to this interview and it’s so true what he says about fear and everything else at a gig. For me personally it’s always the pressure of do I have right right gear for this, can I bring what the other drummer brought to the table, all those things.

Just recently I've got into drummers like Aaron Spears and Eric Moore. I used to follow and looking for only extreme metal drummers, which I still like and are my favorites. Aaron is an impressive drummer and seems to be a nice person, humble and very calm. Drumtalk, keep this format of short and direct questions and a long time for the answer.
