Awesome list, and honored to be a part of it! It's so refreshing seeing the wide breadth of settings we're getting recently in tactical RPGs. Pirates, Sci-Fi/Space, Medieval Low and High Fantasy, Modern Zombies, futuristic apocalyptic, and that's all just in this list!! Great year to be a tactical RPG fan. Thanks for keeping us all up to date.
"You can never have too many HoMM-inspired games" 100% agreed, especially since there are only a handful of recent ones. BTW a new one was announced for next year. I hadn't realized the sequel to Greedfall will now have tactical combat. I hope Spiders will manage the transition well, I believe all their previous games had action-oriented combat. It's pretty rare to see this change instead of the opposite and I'm all for it.
Oh I didn't know about the Those who rule demo. Thanks for mentioning it. And some interesting titles even though I find tacticals less and less to my taste. I will keep Rogue Waters under my radar as I quite liked Hard West (did not play it though :p but played the demo of the second). Nice news about Greedfall having a tactical pause o/
They are great. Try the demo of Those Who Rule and you can easily understand why it's on this list ☺️ I'm really curious about Rogue Waters, great premises and Greedfall also
I enjoyed Hard West a lot, throughout various playthroughs, as it allowed different manners of progressing into its linear story. But it was another developper than HW2, that I liked too, but a little less than the first opus. I hope Rogue Waters reaches the same heights as the first and it will be a good one.
Thank you, some games were added to wishlist. About Greedfall I heard not very good news, that developers was not ready fo announcment and game will not be ready for releasing so soon.
What a nice list, full of surprises (to me). I have one for you, too: *(Beyond) Galaxyland* . A retro-futuristic 2D pixel-art adventure game that features a (supposedly) deep RPG frame with cool tactical turn-based combat.
Many interesting games, as per usual; for me, the two pirate games and Toads of the Bayou are the ones who entered my ever-expanding wishlist (in no small part because TBL insists on tempting me on a regular basis) on top of my current No. 1 of my wishlist, Menace: if it's half as good as Battle Brothers, I'm going to spend hundreds of hours on that one.
Please increase the volume of narration (your voice), and lower the sound effect/music of the games. I have a hard time understanding what you are saying
Well, Greedfall 1 was absolute trash & it looked & played several generations older than it was...maybe adding this more tactical system will help it out.

Awesome. 2024 it's incredible. Thanks to indie devs like you.
Please stop , my wallet is in pain and my steam wishlist about to explode.
Hahahaha. I can't 😅
Wow. Thank you for the time stamps and great game descriptions
Thanks mate :) Glad you liked it :)

Yeah, bit of a surprise with Greedfall 2 being tactical combat considering the first one. It might play similar to Pathfinder.
Yeah a new homm is sure a great news. The devs behind it are the ones from Iratus, and that is fantastic

Fingers crossed! I heard it too. Looks like they are on strike, citing mistreatment and underpayment. :(
Flint looks pretty cool!
Indeed. I think there are a lot of cool games alongside Flint here :)
I have very expectition of "Those Who Rule", from the beginning this game shing on my Eyes Fans of FFT, Fire Emble and Langrisser.
Indeed. I tried it and it looks awesome :)

Indeed, I'm playing it right now, and i'm going to talk about it in one of my next videos. Spoiler: It's awesome so far :)
@@TurnBasedLovers I'll be hearing your thoughts about it with interest. Keep it up!
Grazie 😊

Great choices mate. 😋

Indeed :)

Thanks for the feedback, i'll work on it for the next video :) - Even if i think the problem is my accent and not the volume.... hahaha :)
Dead Season say they have a demo, but there's no demo?
Indeed. Probably was some closed playtest
zodiac legion is an amazing project
вот это подарок,неожиданно много интересных игр,осталось только дожить до них)

I might need a stemdeck consoles hardly get these awesome tactical games
hihihi :) You probably need it, and me too :)
Flint: Treasure of Oblivion
GreedFall II: The Dying World
Great choice. They both look good :)
I like this channel.
Grazieeeee :)
demon school just delayed to next year lol
Yeah, a few minutes after my video, they announced the delay 🤣
Menace doesn't look like an RPG
Indeed, it's an RPG but also a strategy game
All of these look like they were built for the PlayStation 2. 😢 other than greedfall
Don't mind about the graphic too much.
Yea graphics aren’t everything but in 2024 they could still put some effort into graphics and animation lol.
Well, Greedfall 1 was absolute trash & it looked & played several generations older than it was...maybe adding this more tactical system will help it out.
Never played the first one, but adding the tactical system to the second was a nice surprise :) Remind me of Dragon Age
Are these all PC only games?
If so, I'm not interested...
Some of them are also on Consoles
Get yourself a true ride, sir.
