As a gardener myself, soil and sunlight are vital to good nutrients of plants. New this year from gardening, I was able to grow "kangkong" on the ground.
Very good for not competing with the traditional farmers..maybe a govt can look into the posibilities of incorporating technological advancements to help our local farmers boost productivity and their income..you know, our farmers should be among the richest people and they deserve it
Pros: healthy food; organic sya at efficient in terms of maximization of space Cons: highly expensive, ROI mu is after 10 years pa Tma ung mga ng-comment na Kilala na ito sa North America at Singapore. Pero kung ganito Rin lang mas ok na mag-hydroponics o Kya bioponics kaysa sa intelligent farming na ito. D hamak na mas mura ito kaysa sa $100k-150k na investment.
The thing is intelligent farming is for scaling. and as climate change affects growing sa pinas more and more as years go by, this is a good augmentation to food security.
i hope we can transfer vertical farming to our local farmers.

This has been a practice in the west. Hydroponics can be done even at home so we can grow our own food organically. NXTLVL may move on to microgreens. 🌱🌾🍅🥒🥕🍇🥬🍓
Hindi lang sa Singapore. As early as 1627 may published work na using no soil but then in 1929, William Frederick Gericke from California nag start mag promote publicly ng solution culture para magamit sa mga plants without soil. Ngayon lang medyo nag ttrend ulit ang hydroponics kasi nga mostly mga tao walang backyard or farm na mapagtataniman so nag urban gardening nalang sila at dahil nga ang tagal ng lockdown at nakakatakot lumabas labas better to grow your own food.😅
This is quite good, innovative and productive but I still prefer plants that are organically planted and grown on soils not on plastic containers, Styrofoam and with fluorescent lights as substitute on natural sunlight. Nothing beats what's natural.
@@Qwertyl6996 oo lalo na ngayun sobrang mahal ng lupa. tsaka di pa sila naapektuhan ng natural calamities di tulad ng outdoor. kaya lang pang mga socialite people lang ang ganyan negosyo kasi puro tanim nila mga di naman kinakain ng masa. good business for hotels and Rustans supermarket.

For multiple stacking in an enclosed and very limited space. The more stacks the higher the yield. The are exploiting the stack by looking at it as 3D instead of the traditional 2D farming which is 1 stack spread out.
The produce they grow doesn't do well with the Philippine sun/climate. Also controlled light spectrum affects the taste of their produce (mentioned on the video) and they are specific in what type of light they use to the produce they grow.
@@h0tj0hn I am holding a master's degree in biology. We had an experiment on the different effects of light on the concentrations of phytohormones in lettuce. Yes, different spectrum has certain effects on the concentration of plant hormones but these entreprrneurs are just using the blue and red spectra, which have nothing to do with "flavors" since these 2 spectra are the most fundamental requirements for photosynthesis. Also, these LED strips are very expensive to maintain in the current Ph /kwh price.
You may be right but it is still better than losing all your crops using Philippine's sun light (almost nobody I know grows kale or cilantro before I left Philippines). Even if you grow your crops on the low temp regions of the Philippines, it won't have the same consistency than a fully controlled environment of container. They must be doing something right because they are still in business?
@@h0tj0hn I agree, controlled environment= quality consistency. If they are still in the business 5 yrs from now, then it is safe to say that this is the key to sustainable farming in ph esp now that our population is exponentially proliferating.
fyi, natural local farming uses tons of pesticides to sustain mass production... and unlike the vegetables that are produced at the local farms, these don't have pesticides coz they're grown indoors.
"natural way" is very harmful to biodiversity and is the biggest contributor to climate change. Going forward, it's really important to invest in sustainable farming technologies that would survive changes in our weather pattern: droughts, floodings, landslide etc. But agree that we should do more research esp. on how to grow crops healthier with novel methods like these.... :)
Birt Conjurado may nutrient supply po yan, organic solution which is the same you get from natural soil farming, the advantage though is that it doesn’t use fertilizer.
Pacman Gallon its basically how you would plant normally but using technology to control everything to produce higher quality vegetables (better results). Its healthy.

Fresh air?
Correct
Low profit kasi pag native ang itatanim nila. Target market nila mga resto/supermarkets which gives them higher profit kumpara sa mga native produce.
