When I was in India 2012 with my friend we visited Varanasi too. There I found a few things curious ... The maze of narrow alleyways just wide enough for a pedestrian, and still you occasionally find cows blocking the way in there. Families probably on pilgrimage walking all over the city barefoot, from grandparents to young children. A not so nice moment was when a man came angrily running after me as I had a camera with me when walking along the waterline and accidentally ran into what seemed to be a private cremation/funeral. We also visited a hindu temple that seemed to be mostly a tourist trap (you buy a bunch of flowers in one place and donate it a few steps further, it seems that these items make the rounds ...) We also went on a row boat and it was quite nice to see the place from the water. Also we had a good hotel to stay. And I was barefoot throughout.
You are so beautiful, graceful and brave to keep your life election over all the people who do not aprove your way of life, I will be proud of a woman like you.
breathtaking a beautiful. Thanks for sharing an interesting part of your culture.
Thank you for sharing this trip with us! Love how your bare feet are so practical and comfortable even in a crowd of shoe-wearers!
