i know im like 9857 months too late for this train but i actually started this in like september last year and just took ages on it fsr! you can see the style changes as it goes along and also when i got my new tablet and changed all my brush settings!
CHARACTERS:
Red - Amanda Wu, lead trumpet
Green - Hailey diAngelo, ex-piano player
Blue - Millie Wyndham, new piano player
The story basically follows a jazz band and like, the relationships between Amanda and everyone else as she deals with change, competitiveness, crushes, and general high school drama. I like to call it 'hibiGay'. In case it's not so clear, this details Amanda's relationship with Millie, who she at first resents for "replacing" Hailey in the band, but then grows warmer towards, until some events between Amanda and Hailey come to light and muck everything up as Amanda tries to pull away to save her own feelings. (it doesn't work!)
LMP belongs to Joriah Kwame and Taylor Louderman, not me. Art is all mine, though.

This is ridiculously underrated
It's so painful how we focus so much on that one person that we like but forgets and neglects that other person who loves us and will never leave us even in bad times. Wish Amanda could have a happy ending with the one who loves her and learn to move on. This is why you should never fall too hard cuz it hurts when they don't like u back.

Between this song and Ordinary, I love how in each of those songs the pov characters are incredibly relatable in some way, and not just because they’re lesbians. I always like stories that go that extra mile with a character, and it’s especially impressive they could convey all of that in a short song

question, if you see this... from what I understand, Amanda is hung up on hailey, but Millie is right there. Millie gets ignored despite their romance due to what I percive as amanda's obsession.
but why does she ghost millie BECAUSE OF THAT?
thanks for watching :) yes, amanda is still a little hung up on hailey (who never realises amanda's feelings, so its purely theoretical, and amanda likes to pretend it doesnt exist) and so when millie maybe reciprocates, she bails out of fear. there are also some other things going on in their life that i didnt depict here for time reasons altho in hindsight i definitely should have...! for example, millie is being asked to join a professional orchestra for her piano playing, which coincides with their little jazz band which amanda is also feeling pretty bad about (given hailey also resigned kind of out of nowhere). amanda is also kinda ghosting hailey, hence the text. the girls! are not! communicating!!!!!! (claps hands)

I know this is like months later but if anybody could explain what the story behind Amanda, Hailey and Millie is I'd appreciated it! I get the general premise but I don't know if there was more that I should have gotten from the animatic. Btw, it's a solid animatic in so many ways, I loved it!
well, to be honest......I haven’t exactly written it yet ;p I tend to go Emotions and vague ideas first and definitely didn’t expect so many people to watch this nonetheless ask about the story, lol. At the very least, I can tell you, that Amanda and hailey are childhood friends and a year apart, and when hailey has to quit the band to focus on her schooling Amanda has to deal with feelings she hadn’t really come to terms with or faced before, including some projection onto the replacement piano player, millie. The details between that are.......eh, sketchy at best? Either way, I’m glad you liked it!!
@@mochi05 that's totally cool, correct me if I'm wrong but this is how I interpreted it: Amanda was interested in Hailey romantically and, it seemed that Amanda might have either had a crush on Hailey that she never told Hailey about or did tell Hailey and there was something there but Hailey didn't want to commit and Amanda is trying to get rid of her feelings for her but can't. Hailey eventually has to focus on school so she leaves the band, making way for Millie to come in and take her place and at first Amanda is hostile towards this because she's not ready to let go of Hailey but her feelings for Hailey mesh with her perception of Millie and Millie becomes something like Hailey for her, a new sort of crush, Millie also likes Amanda romantically and they kiss or have some romantic moment together. But, Amanda keeps getting texts and stuff from Hailey or at least Hailey feels as though Amanda feels slighted that Hailey left the band (and she probably does feel slighted by that) and so Hailey keeps trying to make it up to Amanda or something to save their friendship or whatever they've got going on, I also assumed that Hailey might want Amanda for the attention and likes feeling as though Amanda has feelings for her, thus needing to tell Amanda that there's nothing there and denying that Amanda could be having feelings for Millie, anyway just some thoughts. Again great job!
@@biseragjurovska1998 honestly, this is pretty close! i still havent thought abt how hailey herself feels about the whole situation but at least in amanda's head its DEFINITELY like what you described. specially the whole, projecting feelings for hailey onto millie and such.... its super cool that you get all that from this tho!!! and thank you!!
