      Me too! That stuff makes me nervous. I once suspended a YJ tub from the garage ceiling to get the frame out. I was nervous as hell.

    Another great video Matt. I often feel bad for you at times cause you're working on this stuff by yourself. I go through the same thing because i have no one to help me with my jeep. Please be careful and keep up the great work. Cant wait to see the comancheap finished.

    I agree with the everyone, bring it back! "None of the boring stuff" is always true with your videos! I do commend you tho. You do ALOT of work by yourself on the projects and then with all the video editing as well, leaves little time to spend with your family and to sleep. It's awesome that you kids like to wheel with you though. I know it's awesome for me that mine enjoy it as much as I do!

      roxas the rogue He just posted something on TH-cam about meeting with as many subscribers as possible this year. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not a die hard fan or anything. Just enjoy watching his vids. & lol yeah the way he pronounces water is very weird. But he is great at explaining/showing/details in his vids.

    Bring it back, I just found your channel a few weeks ago when I bought my second Jeep. This one's a 2000 XJ, the last one I had was a 97 XJ but in allot worst shape. Love the channel and wish I'd found it years ago!

    Something you may or may not have thought of in your shop is building a cinder block covey outside of your shop for you air compressor. Best thing for my ears I ever did.

    We saw you at the Shell station in Parachute Co. today. Stopped to check the Comanche out. Waited a little for ya to come out. But didn't go in. Didn't want to seem too much like a stocker. lol We were in the lifted old squarebody crew cab chevy.

    I know it costs, but you should do a series where you build a new shop. You can probably build one for about $5 or $6K. We all know you definitely need one. (with a lift!)

    I realize this video was made a while back, but seems like it would be a good investment to get a set of crappy used wheels and tires. Some that are close to stock size to move the jeep and axels around on. I’m only running a 35” tire right now but putting the tiny original tires back on to work on it, makes a huge difference.

    Thanks for my youtube fix tonight Matt. I'm starting a 2006 F350 build ( cab swap, bed swap, total rebuild ). I keep thinking of videoing the project but I'm no editor. I'm still on the fence and frankly maybe too old ! Keep up the good work.

    Might not want any sparks from connecting the battery in a room full of gas fumes. I'd recommend a switch!
    (I had to drain a gas tank that way myself)

    I think you could benefit from a hi-lift. Maybe on the trails, but definitely in the shop. Jack/spreader/clamp/puller.... I know I have. Cheap even if you don't buy one from craigslist.

    Put a nut, flush with the bolt threads before hammering the hell out of the bolt. It will save the threads on the bolt. Unless you don't need the bolt any more. I save ever nut and bolt. Lol

      David Ferrell sure didn't. Been watching BJ since before Tim n Tyler joined. Cheap Jeep was too cheap and too rushed. I'd love to see a build that takes a more moderate approach. Obviously, a ZJ is on my personal list, like a TJ. Someday....

    It's ok to do sketchy things as long as you KNOW there sketchy. Dana 60s weigh in at 600 lbs plus all the extra goodies. Oh and Matt, I think you should build a rat rod out of that CJ carcass.

    Why not use the manual transmission from the CJ? So much more control off road.....just my opinion.

      Milk Hotdog looks to be a Muncie SM-465...they have like a 6.55:1 first gear but those autos are nice to have in the sticky situations

    .... put a 2.5L engine in the CJ. Actually if you did that you would have plenty of space to boost it, maybe run 30lbs of boost on it, but then you'd need a stout small engine designed to handle that kind of load.

      Family members have been calling my Comanche "The Heep" since I bought it, in 1990. "J" in Spanish is pronounced like an "H". Caught a lot of flak back then; but, out of ALL of the vehicles around back then, only the Heep remains.

    What are you doing with what's left of the CJ after all this? You should restore it close to stock (with tires a little bigger than stock of course) and still see what kind of wheeling it can do!

    With all the axel swaps and wheel work you do have you considered a 2 post lift? Not that expensive.

    hey matt can you do a video on polyurethane bushings for the front axel? I've looked and looked and haven't found any decent videos showing how to correctly install them. All the companies that provide these bushing kits have absolutely horrible installation instructions. Please and thank you

    Why was the front of the cj leaf sprung but the back was coil overs? Does that do something special that all coilovers wouldnt or was that something the last owner just hadnt done yet?
