I love this reunion. Everyone is so mature now and can look back at all the uncomfortable moments and laugh about it together. I didn't think it would be possible after how the breakup went down.
As a fan who followed DoubleLift and CLG since hotshotgg days, watching this feel like having reunion with best friends even though I don't know them personally. I even bought the 2015 CLG icon (The only team icon I ever bought) because that was when Doublelift first won an LCS title after the many years of struggles of not being able to win anything on CLG.
Still one of my favorite LCS squads of all time. Seeing them shit on TSM in the finals after all those years was probably the most satisfying finals I’ve watched
Yh that was just the fking Golden age bois, I was a clg fan since season 1 or whatever it was that clg first won like a big tournament back then and hotshotgg stream blew up. And after the years of disappointing results and of course tsm absolutely shitting in us. We finally got our redemption.
i always wished xmithie was my irl homie and i forget the timeframe but i was so happy when he was being considered one of if not the best na jungler for some time
I think he has 6 trophies. He won in Summer 2015 with CLG, Spring 2016 CLG, Spring + Summer of 2018-2019 with TL (4 splits). He also made the final of Summer 2017 with Immortals after leaving CLG. He's attended 5 worlds (CLG: 2015-2016, Immortals: 2017, TL: 2018-2019) and has attended 2 MSI finals (CLG + TL). Honestly was angry to see TL drop him, more importantly for his replacement. If they had gotten a mechnical power house jungler that had an opposite playing style I could have justified the decision, but they got Broxah. Makes 0 sense, and them letting Impact go is even shocking to me.
@@psixi7230 Indeed. I’ve actually noticed the repeating pattern of organizations falling off after they dropped Xmithie. After CLG dropping Xmithie, they’ve never returned to their former glory and everyone had forgotten that they were once a top team in the LCS. TL dropped Xmithie, and they had one of the worst splits they’ve ever had, but they still recovered from it unlike CLG. IMT is very different since they didn’t really bench Xmithie. They actually disbanded for a while until they’ve returned, but they’re currently struggling to even make it to the top 5 or 7 teams in the LCS.
This was one of my favorite episodes so far! Truly gave off a bunch of homies reminiscing vibes & it was dope hearing all the laughs and stories being shared. Love the podcast Mr.Peng!
As soon as they started talking about MSG finals I paused this video and went back and watched that series. Darshan, aphro, and Pobelter put in a ton of work in those finals. Dank memes can't melt playoff dreams; the faithful shall be rewarded! The end of Doublelift's trophy case subreddit era. This era was the peak of watching League for me, even though the game was a lot different and things were less "solved", and there was way less damage. When this squad broke up I found out I was a Doublelift fan more than a CLG fan, I'm so glad these guys have all grown enough to still hang out like this.
I’m so obsessed with this squad..I wish I wasn’t on the TSM train that year so I could’ve been a true fan of this team but this video is so funny. Love these podcasts from double
"And the faithful shall be rewarded." Best line ever said to describe these guys. I as a rush hour fan for so long, and it made A CLG fan for a time. I still remember when they won. I was so elated that I almost cried. God I'd love to see them all back as team.
Xmithie is so funny, if he cared at all about being serious regarding social media and content he'd kill it hard. But gigachad to also just not give a fuck and do your own thing amidst a sea of "influencers"
2015. The best year of LoL esports. Before all the teams started changing their rosters every 5 minutes. I wish Dignitas's 2014 roster would reunite. Kiwikid, Crumbz, Scarra, Imaqtpie, Patoy. 😭
imagine, your CEO is high as fuck thinking he's a shaman taking desert trips (I mean that in both senses of the word) and tells everyone in his org about...and he was still a better CEO that might have been more professional/a positive influence on his business than TSM's CEO
Thank you and the team for doing this, this was the magic time of LCS. This was like the missing org videos like tsm legends or TL squad that we never really had at that time
THIS THE BEST PODCAST I COULD EVER WATCH, I WAS A HUGE CLG FAN AND MET ALOT OF YOU GUYS IN CHINO HILLS and couldnt wait for CLG to finally win there first NA LCS Championship and it came in one of the best ways possible against a good TSM for its time no push overs at all. I had to go back and rewatch that serious. This obv isnt during that time but when zion and huhi with the double TP to kill piglet was so EPIC and hype miss watching the boys play and hope you all are having a good life and experiencing everything you guys ever wanted.
Great podcast! Definitely one of my 2 favorite line ups of all time (the other being the 2016-2017 TSM). Would be cool to get the other group together!
Hearing them walk down memory lane brought back such a rush of nostalgia for me that I was howling in laughter along with them. This podcast series is amazing for old league fans
I'm like 10 minutes away from finishing the video and I'm all emotional because It's getting closer and closer to the end. A huge part of me wants to go back in time and relive this team and even the Huhi version as well
Not only does watching this make me want to see more podcast episodes with other past teammates (mainly 2017 TSM) but I’d love to see some kind of in-house tournament with some classic rosters from the “golden age” of LCS
I thought this would be a mess with so many people in the call but this was awesome, by far my favorite one so far. I watched this video with a smile on my face the entire time.
Man I wish more ex-pros could join these podcasts in the future and share their experiences. Its banger! The old school TSM with rainman, oddone, chaox, people like elementz, hotshotgg, clg eu, like sometimes i wonder what those guys are up to now.
Honestly man, I still follow clg and got my 2015 jersey. So nice to see things like this, the old rush hour videos and ranked 5 vs 5 ladder were always hilarious. Hopefully we got more content like this.
As somebody who's been a clg fan since 2014, seeing this almost made me cry omg. So happy. Edit: Omg aphro's laugh brings back so many memories lmfao Edit2: 44:55 im fucking crying lmao
at 1:11:55, Pob gave the most wholesome thing I have probably ever heard. Nothing extravagant, he just enjoyed his boys' company. What a wholesome dude
double should organize some money matches; it'd make great content. this roster vs applicants and you can slowly choose harder opponents from collegiate to amateur to academy to lcs mixes. maybe throw in some old names/streamers that still play like sneaky or qt. this was clg golden era and the first time double won. crazy moment as an og fan from pre-lcs days
It would definitely be cool to see showmatches with retired pros, current lcs and academy players aren't allowed to with their contracts but there are still a lot of good options.
i'm surprised the team stuck together after playing Dokapon kingdom. People joke about friendship ending games but that one legit could destroy friendships.
4:10 Im kinda sad because Jake legit burns himself to say that Pob's story is wrong because he's never been Challenger, which is in itself hilarious, yet no one hears the response and Pob just gets the W by saying "I forgive you" (Not that I don't love this entire roster, I have their MSI american flagged CLG hoodie still)
Thanks for having me bro 🥰 rush hour in soloq soon?
why no 2015 CLG FLEX? There are so many CLG fans who would absolutely love you for it
YESSSSSS
Such a humble thing to say. Thanking an equal legend. Thanks aphro for legendary and unique memories through the past couple of years!
flex queue
down :D have 1 acc that's plat 3 or we can flexq
Need a podcast with the 2016-2017 TSM roster next for sure (Hauntzer, Svenskeren, Bjergsen and Biofrost)
Make this happen
Heck yeah
Hauntzer was a top 3 top laner that just disappeared. And we have Fakegod. Wtf LCS.
@@copeseticme when gnar, swain, gragas were meta he was such a god. Miss that tsm team

This was so bittersweet. It's sad to see these legends retire from LCS but seeing the boys back together still flaming each other is so funny.
finally get to see my boy Xmithie, thought that guy peaced out completely. I know you're coaching now but goodluck on whatever u do mate

You know...everytime I hear hotshotgg's name now, it's always because he is helping a former player, teammate, or friend.
Respect
It's fun and wholesome to see that the boys still have so much chemistry. I'd love to see L1nk, Chauster and HotshotGG come on the show sometime!
I don't think Link would ever come on a DL podcast after he publicly flamed him as much as he did.
