Tears of Joy are flowing from my eyes. I am so happy for you. I'm a 70 year old woman. Those are closed of my growing up era. My beginning of entering adulthood. I love vintage clothes. Where the 70 boho/ hippie. That was my hay day. Wishing you much success I wish I could come to your store but listening to your accent I believe you're probably in England. Like I said congratulations I am so happy for you. I would be there on a near daily basis myself. I love everything I’ve seen that she carries!! That said, I have been to her online site and do intend to make some purchases. My only problem is that I am in the states and I am “sooooo” tiny,along purchases online is not always easy for me.
It's nice how you appreciate the woman's clothes. They gave them to the right person.
A wardrobe is so personal. It is the real heart and creative energy of the person who owned it, wore it in good times of life and bad days too. They laundered it over and over and proudly hung up in their closet. They traveled with it and wore to weddings, birthdays and just an ordinary day. Beautiful. I would love to look at it all. Yeah, this was a suggestion from youtube for me and I am kinda shocked how little fashion, vintage and sewing knowledge this woman has. LIke "a bag with a little bag inside" is a coin purse! Sorry wanted to love this channel but no :-/

Hi Elise! I had the good fortune to receive my paternal grandmother’s wardrobe when she passed. Not much of it fit me and I took it to a local consignment store. They said it was too dated. I put an ad in the local paper and invited women to come over and go through the clothing for free and everything went. Giving my stylish grandma’s clothing to real women was a beautiful thing. I appreciate how you respect that those clothes are a sign of a woman’s life. Be well!!

I am a Romanian and I have to say those are clothes that I can recognise, so many women wore simillar pieces of clothing, the materials and prints are so familiar 💚

I always thought it'd be kinda cool if, when someone passed away, there was a service that took their old clothes and turned them into a patchwork quilt for the family of the deceased. Imagine having a quilt made of all the clothes you grew up seeing your loved one wearing.

I almost cried when you showed the gold clutch. My grandmother left me one almost exactly like it, it even had the little coin purse, the only difference was my grandmother left a gold compact inside it. I loved that clutch, and someone stole it. It broke my heart.
I live in France, and my favourite local vintage shop only sells clothes from bundles like these. I think it's fabulous, it's actually the essence of second-hand !!

I got so emotional watching this... My grandmother also loved to make her own clothes, she was born in 1927. I don't know if my father kept anything from her wardrobe, but she had a black bag very similar to the gold one and I hope I can find it in my parents attic. Lovely video Elise, thank you ♥️
It's really sweet of someone to give you a collection of clothes which obviously have a sentimental value (because the clothes always have). If I were you, I would take it too. It looks like those clothes are made for you and have been waiting for you to appear. It's nice that you choose to keep this little bag, it really speaks much about its owner. Wow, I got a bit emotional when I saw that clutch bag, my mom had one just like it back in the 60’s with matching coin purse. And the little mirror just blew me away! She carried one like that always with a lipstick, she was never without it, it went in every bag change.

A lifetime of clothes and memories...never has the the phrase ‘her-story’ been so apt. Makes me wish I’d had a chance to have my grandmother’s clothes. She loved and looked after them them so well, and would always talk about what she was going to wear with which, stories/memories of events through the clothes and accessories she wore, remembered where she’d bought everything, give us a fashion show of new purchases. She loved clothes all her life, had an amazing eye and memory for colour. Clothes were a big part of her life, although they came second to her family. Thanks for sharing your passion and this woman’s amazing collection, Elise...and reminding me of my grandmother’s joy! Lu xx

Wow, that looks like an amazing collection of vintage clothes. I love vintage clothing, in fact last summer I had a pop up shop selling vintage clothing in my home town. It didnt work out unfortunately but I loved doing it ❤ My dream is to have my own boutique like yours one day. I've worked in retail for about 17 years and I'm itching to have my own shop and put my experience to use. I'd be interested to see some of your favourite pieces from the clothes you purchased. What a brillant idea. I love vintage clothes. I always wonder their history. I have this soft paisley velvet reversible top hat. It has a stash pocket. Hand sewn. I always wanted to sew replica hats of it and sell myself. This hat is my most prized possession. But thanks to poshmark I am slowly getting tons more favorites. I used to love thrift stores but they slowly are becoming to modern and picked over. Plus if you find a gem now its rarely your size where poshmark and depop you find your exact fit. I still randomly search around just online. I just found your vlog. Your down to earth and a good person it shows you think of the not just the items but the life who loved these. Your video is so cool loooking but not like trying to hard. You just are cool you can tell. Always true and yourself and pretty!!! Your even more gorgeous because your kind!
