Junho is on another level. I actually discovered Junho by watching Rain or Shine. Only 4 months ago. To say I fell down his rabbit hole is a understatement. I literally can’t get enough of him. Because of him I found 2PM. And now I’m a fan of a boy band. I have never ever been a fan of a boy band. For reference my favorite band is Led Zeppelin. There is something very special about 2PM. These men actually love and support each other. The fact that they sing live. They are funny and crazy. And they are all talented. And their performance are great. I honestly have no need to listen to any other group.

Actually nowadays it's a lot more common for groups to use heavy backing vocal tracks so yeah they focus a lot more on dance routines to the point I'm feeling it's becoming a dance competition between groups instead of a whole performance. A lot of newer groups don't do that well in singing live and it's a shame for kpop industry. Even a lot of the times you think they are singing live, they usually are using a backing track to cover the shortcomings. But if you watch music shows or performances in general, back when 2nd gen were performing , their singing was really raw and completely live. Even if there was backtrack, you could easily tell which part it is covering and which part is completely raw but the technology nowadays and the fierce competition for getting likes and views led the industry to where it is now and I'm not happy. I still think a singer needs to master singing first and then develop other capabilities.

Agreed.. It's sad that everything is just a competition now and it's all about the look. The look of the performance as well as their visuals, how well they act on stage with practised facial expressions and everything except the actual singing. That's why I'm very happy to start following these groups, it's a huge difference. Now the industry is ruining the art of music, it's all going backwards.. I can still enjoy new groups, but it's mostly because they have good producers who I think should be brought into light way more than they actually are now. I strongly recommend you to react to Junho's fancams. Junho recently got more and more popular in korea because of his fancams. His stage presence is just another level. Just an update regarding Junho because I don't know if you have reached this pitiful stage of stalking the internet for news about him. He somehow inspires you to have this prote ctive feeling about him-you want him to have continued success, you want everyone to know about him, you want to feel that he is happy, you want him to have a significant other to care for him. I know its ridiculous, but there you are. Right now he is doing fan meeting tours (Junho, The Moment) in major cities all over Asia. These follow the success of The Red Sleeve and King the Land; both of which seem to have won him new fans who are now discovering his music if they weren't familiar with it before. Of course much of the success of King the Land can be attributed to die-hard Junho fans who would watch anything if he is a part of it. He really is reaching new heights in his career right now.
