Great video, you liferally read my mind on all the final uncertainty questuons i was seeking after months of research. I wasnt sure what a realistic % to margin call would be.
New subscriber. Appreciate your content. Thinking about buying YM ETFs using margin. The numbers make sense. Looking for ETFs with stable NAV. YMAX, AMZY are my candidates so far.
@@RobsstuffI stay married to Etrade because of the Cornerstone( CLM/CRF) drip at NAV. I will probably sell my MSFO position( even though it is only 30% margin maintenance) and move that money over to RH.
IBKR is 6.33 with 100k Pro account and most of the YM funds margin maint are 25%, but I think RH has more features. I have my YM funds on margin at E*Trade right now, can I move them to RH while they are on margin? I like that I have a debit card with E*Trade, does RH have a debit card to access funds?
Thanks for subbing!! Be very careful with margin but learn how it works. If you use it wisely it can help you tremendously! Keep me updated on your progress!

Hello and thanks for the info. I feel as though I have a decent understanding of margin, but could you do a video explaining it with details for all of us that may be a bit unsure. I.E. If you invest 100K in Robinhood and by just one ticker that uses 35% margin requirement, how much could you buy and what would cause a margin call ... Or something like that. When I look at my margin account with Schwab it is so confusing that what I think I know can't be proven or confirmed. I may be coming into some more cash soon and may open a new Robinhood account and take advantage of the margin. Also, do you know anything about Portfolio Margin and does Robinhood offer it? I am new to your channel and like your content. I have been in the high distribution investing for a bit now and coming up on 15K per month. Looking forward to the future and growing it so I can retire comfortably and take care of my very sick wife. Thanks again!
A note about the transferring your account over, you need to keep that balance in the account for I think 2 years, which is ok if you are really not going to need it for a while or if you make significant gains but if not don't trap yourself for a couple hundred or even a thousand dollars. If you take it out they will take the bonus back, it's in the faq and one reason I didn't move the account over.
on the 2k of margin interest free, the 2k amount is in a promotion and will last until 8/18/24, afterwords, itll go back to the 1k in margin interest free as the standard

Interactive Brokers has about the same margin rates and the Defiance, Yieldmax, and Rex Shares are 25% maintenance margin. So its similar.
Good to know! Thanks
Hey Rob, thanks for taking a deep dive into margin. You can never over discuss the pros & cons of margin.
Agreed, thanks for watching!

Cool, keep me posted on what you decide!
That's exactly why I opened up an account with Robin Hood because of the margin interest Fidelity was charging me 12%
Awesome! I don’t know why more people don’t switch, it’s almost like they are married to a brokerage or something! Thanks for sharing!

Does anyone know the maintenance requirements for YieldMax funds at Interactive Brokers?
I would like to know this as well
I don’t guys, sorry!
is E8trade margin allowed better..? I thought I heard it was like 1/4 on their margin allowed. I know Robinhood is 100% match.

Yeah there is always a catch but I think a lot of people are planning on holding these long term. Thanks for the heads up!
