So in a nutshell, Tokyo Disney is like WDW & DL were maybe 30 years ago: everything spotlessly clean & super-well-maintained, lots of friendly & enthusiastic cm's, and an abundance of characters roaming about.
I've lived in Tokyo for 4 years and been to Tokyo Disneyland for over 10 times and you guys have given me a new appreciation of all the details that makes this park so unique! Thanks so much!!
The answer to why Tokyo Disneyland has better attractions than the US Parks is simple. Disney doesn’t own the Tokyo Disneyland Resort, the Oriental Land Company does and Disney just license their brand. OLC pays for everything (and they aren’t afraid to shell out money for quality attractions). It’s sad, because Disney could easily do the same thing in the US, but all they care about is the bottom line where OLC actually cares about the quality of their products; hence why their attractions have more effects and details than ours.
To be fair the US paid to come up with all the ideas so then the only investment they had to do with the invention crew was start from where Disney's ended which was decades of work.... also Orlando has WAY more land to build up therefore having to "shell out" MUCH more making it not actually "profit " anyone that owns a business knows the at the very minimum 20% of yearly earnings have to be put aside for growth or you fall behind
Grass is greener situation. I'm sure Tokyo Disneyland is amazing but if Animal Kingdom or Epcot or Galaxy's Edge were only in Tokyo, people would not stop gushing about them. Also I've found the US cast members, even at the budget All Star Resorts to be excellent brand ambassadors pretty much across the board.
Japan in generally is amazing. Respectful. Kind. It’s unbelievably clean, organized and there is way more value and integrity in everything. It makes Walt Disney World (of today) feel like a Dollar General.
That 'Small World" was absolutely amazing and so great to see Bandit there! After your videos we've officially added Tokyo and Disney Sea to our bucket list...
Whilst I'm hoping that they get to DLRP one day aha! Would love to see what they make of our version of Space Mountain, Phantom Manor etc. Like JustinScarred did, love the videos you did with him!
Loving these videos!! I'm 68, arthritic and broke, so I won't be going to Tokyo!! LOL!!! Is it just me, or does it seem that Disney put more imagination and probably money into the parks in Europe and Asia than in the US?? I agree, that the cast members in Japan are MUCH friendlier than in the US!! Maybe our cast members should go to Japan for job training!! LOL!! So glad you enjoyed yourselves and thank you so much for the videos!!
Hello - You guys are always great! However, Tokyo totally agrees with you. Jen -- The pink ensemble brought out your beautiful coloring and you looked radiant; absolutely gorgeous!! The trip looks amazing and the colors and freshness of it all is visually very appealing. I would say -- this reminds me of 'Familiar' with a flair of Fresh with color Vibrancy!! Makes me want to visit!..The way I would have envisioned Disneyland for Mr. Disney when it was new!
Your Tokyo Disneyland videos are probably our most anticipated videos. My 10-year-old son is fascinated with theme parks and roller coasters and theme park design. He couldn’t wait to get home from school to see if you posted another. Thank you for sharing your experiences
What I really like about this small world is that the Disney characters are featured in the section of country they are from like for example Wendy and Peter Pan we’re sitting on London Bridge and that near the Hawaiian part where the hula dancers were, Moana was there!
lol Tim...Jenn...the reason they're soo excited to say hi to you and everything is probably cause of Jenn's red hair and blue eyes. When I was there, there was a lady with blond hair and blue eyes and she had a queue to take a picture with her! She was so torn as to what to do cause she obviously wanted to go ride tower, but couldn't leave! We loved Restaurant Hokusai! The sirloin box was awesome and they brought out a little thing for my ShellieMay to sit on top of
Wow seeing these Tokyo vlogs makes me want to go there NOW!! The park, the hotel, the food, the characters, the rides --it all looks amazing. It’s a small world looked amazing!!
bahahaha I was laughing within the first few seconds. That green tea mistake. Americans expect sweetened tea which is not ordinary in Japan. I made the same mistake multiple times in Japan because many of the bottles look the same unless you can read Japanese.
You two are really living the dream! All these wonderful memories you both are making and will look back on when you two are old fogies like us! Keep up the great work! Loved the Tokyo trip!
OMG THERE SMALL WORLD HAS BANDIT HE IS A STAR NOW !! This was super fun !!! I agree the rides there look really cool and I also love the outfits there ! Speaking of outfits I LOVE JENNS OUTFIT !!! Can't wait for the next vlog :)
The colorful Small World shocks me all the time! I enjoy seeing the Disney characters in it! Olaf escaped to Florida because it snows in Tokyo and obviously he loves summer so no need for the balcony! Only excuse I could think of!
Love Love Love Tokyo Videos!!!! My family and I are really wanting to go there now. Thank you for taking us along on your vacation. Ya'll are the best!
All this time I thought Tokyo would not be as good as WDW but I'm so glad you guys are giving honest reviews! I guess when I go to Japan, I have to make a stop there :-)
I'm so lovin these videos. I just came in to grab a bite before going some last minute packing. I was so stressed from trying to get ready to leave out. But thanks to you guys I took time out to watch your video and now I feel much better!
Love its a small world all the little animals painted around everywhere. Love these vlogs thanks for spending time to share Tokyo with us just seems amazing not a place I thought I would ever want to go to but now I do lol
when I went to Japan for an art show I was showing in, we stayed right across the bay from Tokyo Disney.... No one in my group wanted to go. I made a promise to return and go. Thank you for bringing me here in your adventures!!
Thanx for continuing to take us on your awesome adventure! This has made me definitely much more curious to see TDL and TDS for myself some day! Loved the Sorcerer Mickey statue outside the castle! And loved all the CM's lined up/smiling/saying hello like that! Reminds me of the "glory/old days " at WDW. And nostalgic for them. That doggie in Small World sure DID look like Mr. Bean Bandit! :) And that Small World was awesome! And the variety of "rare" characters, and the interaction was totally awesome!
Wow I really would love to go there myself! Many in a few years you guys could go to Shanghai the Peter Pans Flight is the BEST there!!! Have a great day Tim and Jen!!
Can’t believe you guys are getting so famous now!!!! I love watching your videos and have been watching you for forever. Thanks for the amazing content keep it up :)
Love your videos and its awesome to see you and Jenn having a great time in Tokyo. My family and I went there last year and can not wait to go back. The park is amazing and the people there are even better. Keep the videos coming and can't wait for the next one.
You guys make me really want to go to Tokyo Disneyland. Hopefully someday we can. I feel like Tokyo had much better theming everywhere which made it so awesome. Thanks for sharing this with us.
I'm glad you all had a great time. I've never been to Disneyland but WDW several times until 2007. If I remember you could just meet Donald, DAISY, ETC walking the park at 1st. Plus remember it should be better their It's new fresh. Tell Florida WDW & California Disneyland to step it up a fix things here instead of adding new things. Step up their game. Then things will be positive here in the states. If there if anything I can do to help please let me know how. I'm planning to return WDW within the year I want that feeling I've returned home. 😀😀
I believe the reason why most rides are more preferable in Tokyo is because Tokyo is known for a lot of their cuteness and adorableness. I mean, just look at “Its A Small World!” It’s so cute and not so creepy like the ones in WDW
I love all these videos at Tokyo Disneyland! I've only ever been to Disneyland so it's interesting to see the similarities to the ones outside of the US.
Well Tim and Jen are finding out what a vast improvement Tokyo Disneyland is over the Magic Kingdom back home. This is what happens when you have a beautifully maintained and crafted Disneyland versus one that is just filling a quota as the Magic Kingdom orlando is. The crowds you see here are typical of weekends when the weather is great in Tokyo. And when they state the “cast members here are the best of any Disney park” they’re not kidding. Tokyo Cast is perfection and it helps that the park is properly staffed with cast that truly are proud to be there. Can you say that about the Magic Kingdom? No. One more hint: when at Tokyo Disneyland please skip the Tomorrowland terrace and the pan galactic pizza place. For pizza is best having the bacon pineapple pizza next to Peter Pan flight. Best pizza at Tokyo Disneyland. And for dinner, definitely the Hokusai Restaurant they tried in World Bazaar.
I love you guys !! I was hoping to have a chance at seeing you guys randomly at Disney this past week! Lol . Thankyou for always having amazing videos! I can’t wait to go to Tokyo Disney one day
This version of It’s a Small World is FANTASTIC. All of those murals! If only we had characters roaming the parks... Typically whenever we see characters in WDW, they don’t stop because they’re on their way to an official meet & greet!
I really enjoy your venture at Tokyo Disneyland. I have a question for you guys. Since I was 3 years ago. What type of credit cards you use or you buy Disneyland tickets online and the transportation and the food court you use their currency $ or you use the credit cards. Thank you for sharing this video.
A lot of the clothes the girls are wearing look like fashions you would find in the Harajuku fashion district. Clothes like Liz Lisa, Angelic Pretty , Baby the Stars Shine Bright and other popular Japanese brands. I know for sure Secret Honey has a Disney collection
Loving experiencing Tokyo Disneyland through you guys as most likely I'll never go there in my lifetime... So happy for you guys but please share with us all how this trip was made possible for you guys?? Thanks and Enjoy!!
Awesome video..just wondering if you guys could do a video at some point for FL Disney for people on a budget. Trying to look at options and it doesn't let you book to far ahead.
Really enjoying all of your videos out of Tokyo! I was wondering... you keep commenting on the minimal wait times... are you there during a notoriously slower time of the year (our equivalent to "value" season here in the states)? Any advice would be helpful for planning. Thanks!
I'm still loving your Tokyo Disney videos, and the food! Yummy Pork Cutlet dinner you have there, Tim. I'll definitely make a note to come and try that Hokusai place if I ever go to Tokyo.
Fun fact: their Cinderella Castle is 15 feet shorter than ours. Also they used to look identical, aside from height. In 2006 when Magic Kingdom’s castle was painted rosy hues on the towers and more vibrant blues/patterns on the turrets after the Happiest Celebration on Earth (when it was decked out with the golden character statues), Tokyo decided to differentiate theirs as well going with the brown route. If you look at old pictures you can tell they were both painted in cool grays and more pastel blue on the turrets. The gold spires never changed though.
So in a nutshell, Tokyo Disney is like WDW & DL were maybe 30 years ago: everything spotlessly clean & super-well-maintained, lots of friendly & enthusiastic cm's, and an abundance of characters roaming about.
joel k I heard the same about Hong Kong Disneyland and they speak more English there.
And much cheaper. An adult 1-Day pass for Tokyo parks is $50 here in 2023. And a Disney meal set, complete with side dish and drinks, is $8 each.
I've lived in Tokyo for 4 years and been to Tokyo Disneyland for over 10 times and you guys have given me a new appreciation of all the details that makes this park so unique! Thanks so much!!

The shot of Jenn at 6:48, holy gorgeousness!!!
When they found bandit in the small world queue 😭💕
That 'Small World" was absolutely amazing and so great to see Bandit there! After your videos we've officially added Tokyo and Disney Sea to our bucket list...
Tokyo’s Small World is GORGEOUS.
I really enjoy the Tokyo vlogs, I hope I can visit there one day
Whilst I'm hoping that they get to DLRP one day aha! Would love to see what they make of our version of Space Mountain, Phantom Manor etc. Like JustinScarred did, love the videos you did with him!
In the sun: 🔥
In the shade: *Welcome to the Himalayas*
I absolutely love the Small World mural Bandit! Although real Bandit can't travel to Japan he's there in likeness and spirit.
"It's like exactly the same but totally different." XD
Their Small World is SO vibrant and INSANELY adorable!!!
Loving these videos!! I'm 68, arthritic and broke, so I won't be going to Tokyo!! LOL!!! Is it just me, or does it seem that Disney put more imagination and probably money into the parks in Europe and Asia than in the US?? I'm loving these Tokyo Disney vlogs!
Oh my goodness... at 8:02... that is the cutest Mickey & Minnie ever!! I love Tokyo Disney!! 😍😍😍😍

Wow, Disneyland Tokoyo is so cool and the cast members are so nice. I love all the dark rides they have too. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
I am in love with that version of small world!! Seeing the different characters was amazing!!
Your Tokyo Disneyland videos are probably our most anticipated videos. My 10-year-old son is fascinated with theme parks and roller coasters and theme park design. He couldn’t wait to get home from school to see if you posted another. Thank you for sharing your experiences
Tim getting emotional over everything in Disney is a mood.
What I really like about this small world is that the Disney characters are featured in the section of country they are from like for example Wendy and Peter Pan we’re sitting on London Bridge and that near the Hawaiian part where the hula dancers were, Moana was there!
Can’t believe how beautiful Small World is there!
Their small world is absolutely adorable
I love how excited you guys got when you saw the dog at the small world cue and you both yelled “its bandit!” SO CUTE
lol Tim...Jenn...the reason they're soo excited to say hi to you and everything is probably cause of Jenn's red hair and blue eyes. When I was there, there was a lady with blond hair and blue eyes and she had a queue to take a picture with her! We loved Restaurant Hokusai! The sirloin box was awesome and they brought out a little thing for my ShellieMay to sit on top of
Its soo awesome how they incorporated all the Disney characters into their small world ride.
It never occurred to me that I would go to Tokyo, but your vlogs have put this on my bucket list!
Still in love w/ everything you’re showing at those parks there.
Wow seeing these Tokyo vlogs makes me want to go there NOW!! The park, the hotel, the food, the characters, the rides --it all looks amazing. It’s a small world looked amazing!!

I am Japanese!
Japanese is difficult, isn't it?
You two are really living the dream! All these wonderful memories you both are making and will look back on when you two are old fogies like us! Keep up the great work! Loved the Tokyo trip!

your enthusiasm for Tokyo Disney makes me want to go! Thanks guys!
Bandit lookalike in Small World was so cute. I think Tim is moving to Tokyo. LOL
They seem way nicer than a lot of people here in America. Always happy and waving.
You guys make me really want to go to Tokyo Disneyland. Hopefully someday we can. I feel like Tokyo had much better theming everywhere which made it so awesome. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Always interesting to see the similarities and differences between all the parks. Thanks for sharing!
The color palettes in Tokyo’s iasw are GORGEOUS 😻

So happy you guys made it to Tokyo Disney! Love you guys!
OMG I thought these videos were over and this is honestly the best surprise for me
Honestly I had tears when you spotted Bandit on Small World.
I believe the reason why most rides are more preferable in Tokyo is because Tokyo is known for a lot of their cuteness and adorableness. I mean, just look at “Its A Small World!” It’s so cute and not so creepy like the ones in WDW
Small World looks amazing! Mega character's 👍Peter pan ride is my favorite 👍

Their small world looks incredible 😭❤️
Good Morning!!!! You guys are my daughters favorite disney vlogers. (we are fans too!) love your videos
I love Jenn’s hair. It fixes her well with that color
Thank you for the vid...you guys made me weepy with the bandit comments. We just put our 20 year old cat to rest. Keep the good vibes rolling!
Yay!!! Have been waiting for this video ☺️ Thank you so much for sharing & Jenn - you are hilarious with your “a Dingo took my baby” (!) 😉 Nicole 🇦🇺
That Peter Pan definitely looked amazing!!!
I love you guys !! I was hoping to have a chance at seeing you guys randomly at Disney this past week! Lol . Thankyou for always having amazing videos! I can’t wait to go to Tokyo Disney one day
everything is better because they built tokyo disney after disney world so they learned from mistakes and worked harder to improve each ride!
Loving the Tokyo Disney Videos.
This version of It’s a Small World is FANTASTIC. All of those murals! If only we had characters roaming the parks... Typically whenever we see characters in WDW, they don’t stop because they’re on their way to an official meet & greet!
OMG that red hair makes Jen's eyes POP! It looks so amazing on her!
I really enjoy your venture at Tokyo Disneyland. I have a question for you guys. Since I was 3 years ago. What type of credit cards you use or you buy Disneyland tickets online and the transportation and the food court you use their currency $ or you use the credit cards. Jen's jacket is sooo cute!
Omg I went there last year and they are so nice in Japan. Try Pocari Sweat it is delicious and journey is so much fun
You like pocari sweat .-.
A lot of the clothes the girls are wearing look like fashions you would find in the Harajuku fashion district. Clothes like Liz Lisa, Angelic Pretty , Baby the Stars Shine Bright and other popular Japanese brands. I know for sure Secret Honey has a Disney collection

Gotta be honest, I literally wait for your videos
I'm so glad you guys got to go to Tokyo Disney love the videos 💚🌷💛🌷💙🌷
WHAT AN AWESOME COUPLE!!!
Another awesome video guys. Loving the Tokyo Disneyland trip , Have a terrific day.MIke
Awesome video..just wondering if you guys could do a video at some point for FL Disney for people on a budget. Trying to look at options and it doesn't let you book to far ahead.
Christina Price this is a great idea ! I’m always looking to save money going to Disney
My grandmothers favorite ride was it's a small world. It was amazing to see it in Tokyo!
Jenn, that shot of you at the end of Pinocchio's ride is just gorgeous! You're so beautiful!
Really enjoying all of your videos out of Tokyo! I was wondering... you keep commenting on the minimal wait times... are you there during a notoriously slower time of the year (our equivalent to "value" season here in the states)? Any advice would be helpful for planning. Thanks!
They're definitely visiting during the rainy season from May to June, which is why it's so empty (and some rides are down for refurb)
I'm still loving your Tokyo Disney videos, and the food! Yummy Pork Cutlet dinner you have there, Tim. I'll definitely make a note to come and try that Hokusai place if I ever go to Tokyo.

Ahh been so excited for more videos! I'm sad I watched everything haha. Time to re-watch it all again!
The improvements in these rides are aided by the fact that this park is newer.
