2:30 Ouch!! It sounds like an animal screaming in pain bro😮😮😮😮. Sorry to see this truck in bad shape hopefully you will be able to have it back together again in the future Rocky? Fantastic job on the bashing once again awesome to hear Julia/Mama Thunder once again in the video and catching all of action on 🎥😁😁
I always appreciate the transparency and the detail with which you show off the breakages. I really prepares your viewers for their possible breakages of their vehicles. -- Keep up the great work Team Thunder.
The intro looked a lot like a Colt Seavers stunt from The Fall Guy. As much as I do not want to buy another truck, the Vigilante just looks phenomenal. Great video, bro, can't wait for Thunder Pop to show up again.
On my Mad-Force I had some trouble with screws on the axles coming out. Solution was a dab of super glue on the sides of the screw heads. Works like a champ, since you can't use thread lock on plastic. Put the super glue on and then use Zap-It for instant cure. No problem removing the screw as long as you don't get the super glue in the head, and even if you do it is easy to scrape out of the metal. The Vigilante looks like a pretty nice truck so far. That body sure is taking a lot of abuse. Has the body cracked yet? Really love the body style RedCat chose for this truck, really gives it some class.
Yes agree with you with redcat they been working with me on my chimera and they have been excellent in customer support yes they need more billet aluminum to make these RC vehicles more solid ❤
I love the Vigilante! It has surpassed what I feel a Gen 1 v1 5th Scale basher from Redcat. I agree on the fixes you laid out. Xmaxx has had a decade headstart in refinement on the Vigilante. Redcat did good.
I really hope this chassis picks up aftermarket support. It could be King at the price range... I absolutely LOVE Redcat for still being a small enough brand that wants and listens to user feedback so directly. If they make minor adjustments + aftermarket.... 🎉
It's actually impressive there isn't more gear damage. There was a lot of landings and tumbles under full or nearly full power. Also just made it to the smashing into a fence wide open part. Not sure I'd call that a weakness. It's physics. The fence didn't give so something else did. Vitavon will have these as bulletproof as anything else soon. Mine has been very durable but I also avoid smashing into fences. It drives and lands much better than my Xmaxx and cost considerably less. Anyone wanting a large scale basher should definitely get one.
I agree 10000%. It needs billets upgrades. I just destroyed mine and see a lot of potential in billet upgrades, bulkheads, skid plates, shock towers, center brace tower, beefy drive shaft.. i bent mine.. hopefully vitavon will make more parts. They have steering assembly and motor mount but they need a few more things..
According to redcat they don’t need upgrades it the way everyone is using them 😮😮. Good video. The gear cover screw inserts in the chassis are a problem too
Nice double off the fence. I was going to get one cause I love the 1/5 scale but got a Kagama roller instead. Fit a 1650 Max 6G2, what an animal. Totally sucks they don’t make more upgrades for the RedCat, I deff would of got that instead.
Hello Thunder RC, love your videos. I was wondering what shock oil WT/CST are you using in a big truck like that (and xmaxx) to bash like you do ? Thanks !
Dude!!! Nooooo I hate BRICKING on the fence! That almost always ends bad!!! You’re the Beast! You’ll have here back causing THUNDER AND LIGHTNING!⚡️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
It seems like the chassis design has a serious flaw. The drive line is not properly supported. Seems like the mounts and casings shift too much causing gear mesh problems that blow the diffs/pinions. It needs a better chassis design.
Thunder why not just put a realistic sound to it with what the dude over at Danny huynh those to his creations bro I think that would be a good touch for all electric RC vehicles but good on the light bashing lol red cat GO 👍👍
Someone needs to build a better Center diff they're not holding up for me metal bulkhead definitely agree somebody needs to build one in my book the Traxxas x-maxx is still the king I'm sorry that's just my opinion I beat the hell out of that truck and it just loves it LOL

Can’t wait to see this truck dialed in. I want one once aftermarket parts get out for it.
Great info 👍
Nice bash still can't beat the price👍love my vigilante 👍bash on 💥
Vitavon has 5 upgrades for this truck and growing, including a hardened ring and pinion gear. Love to see it!

Colt Seavers and The Fall Guy bring back good memories.

Absolutely brother! I can’t wait to see the upgrades manifest for this beast soon!💪🔥🔥🏆🏆⚡️⚡️⚡️
I have the Vitiavon rear gears in mine and so far bulletproof.
Are you running stock gearing on those vitivon gears?
@@johnsorensen5758 , stock gearing
@@AndrewSuryhow you like the truck? Can you compare it to an xmaxx?

Never seen a gear break like that before, that's insane!

Great video brother. And congratulation’s on tying the knot
Another very nice bashing action video bro, i like the authentic style and way! 💪
We British must have a different understanding of “Light Bashing” 😂😂
No you don't.....Thunder is crazy 😂 double backflip on street landing..not light bashing at all
Lmao right. He's the guy you have test drive your truck after you fix it. If it makes it a day with him it's good for another 100000 miles.
Sick truck and run

“Light bashing” heh 🤓. Only on thunder RC can you say this 😎
What's in the center diff? Front tires ballon alot.
20 million weight. The tires are just really soft.
They're not soft 😅 ran those on 12S in my K8. No problem.
