At our local hill back up in Alaska they'd dig out a spot at the bottom of the hill on the last week open and fill it up and have water skimming competitions. So much fun.
Once, the week after i linked my first turn(on a man made). They havent set the pond up for the past 2 years due to covid. Didnt make it to the other side, as i wasnt confident to carry speed. I am now, and cant wait to try it again.
@Guinea Suarus haha you're on the perfect board for it, just keep it flat, as for the shark suit, well hopefully you won't need that to keep you afloat!
I still can’t get over how fast you were going down to the lake! It sounded like a jet flying over the sky. I have watched pond skim twice at my local mountain, but I have never heard that flyby sound! Perhaps our pond is smaller so one does need that much speed. That’s so cool. The pond skim at all three local mountains in my area were canceled due to COVID-19 and unseasonably warm weathers we had in US East Coast. Thanks for sharing your fun pond skim with the world. Living vicariously via my favorite snowboarding TH-camrs as my quarantine therapy. :)
Hey Veronica, sorry I managed to miss this comment! Hopefully you're doing well, our restrictions are being lifted here so hopefully I'll be able to do some glacier snowboarding this summer, and make some more videos!

Great video. I’ve always wanted to do a pond skim but after nearly 50 years skiing (one or 2 weeks holidays) I’ve never had the opportunity. Hopefully one day soon!
Hey, sorry for the late reply I missed this one! I used to do back to back seasons, I would work in France for the winter, then go to New Zealand and work as an instructor there for the summer. Now I live year round in France, so in the summer I work as a bike mechanic. Most ski resorts in Europe open the lifts for mountain biking over the summer so that is the main trade here.

Not reall, a few tiny scratches but it was mostly wet grass underneath!
