I'm not even sure the first route could be considered 40% to be honest. Almost feels more like 20-30% at most. Playing up to Ending A in Automata feels like the equivalent of stopping after your village is attacked and not going forward to get endings A-D in the first Nier.
I guess in terms of story content/information its probably less than 40% since there isnt much story given in route A - but in terms of raw gameplay/time I'd say route A and B make up about 75% and the rest goes to C
also very sad that A2 barely has any screentime - was hoping atleast for some nice side quests to do but if I recall correctly she only has 3 or 4 side quests in the entirety of route C.

This scene was just so awesome, that uncertainty of what happened to 9S combined with Adam's speech about mankind made this one of my favorite boss battles in the game (every boss fight is amazing though XD) this cover is incredible, I love it! It helps that the soundtrack for Nier has always been fantastic. Covers like this just make it better :D

Kaine's memories for A2, 2B being an extermination droid...But. even 9S was far and beyond his peers in the curiosity and the scouting department, even being a black sheep. Which also fits in with Kaine's own personality HOWEVER!!! The curiosity and placing his trust in 2B and his curiosity in a lot of subjects fits one Emile. I wonder if somewhere he had run into the "Real" Emile. I mean 9S can hack and become a god in certain circumstances, and at times outright broken in playability.... which is essentially how Emile is after he awakens his weapon form, granted we don't get to fight with Emile but i get the feeling 9S would probably be the closest thing to him.
