You're not wrong. It used to be that when you would order hashbrowns, while the level of crispiness may have varied, you knew you were going to get crispy hashbrowns. Now it seems like the majority of places serve soggy hashbrows. I've unfortunately had similar experiences with home fries, as well.

I remember one extremely popular local breakfast joint served me corned beef hash that was straight from a can, and had the balls to charge a premium price for it! Too many people are forgetting just how good fresh food actually cooked can be.

The waitress returned it to the kitchen to show the cook who looked it, and asked who had ordered it. (We were seated somewhat close to the pass). She pointed me out, and I expected the worst…but he said, “Ma’am, I am so sorry! Making you a fresh one, correctly, right now.” And shortly, my new burger with fresh fries appeared, with a manager and his apology. Wow! Great food & service.
Even if it's made up by a company I still think it's real. I used to be part of the skip breakfast team until I realized that I always felt dizzy, had brain fog, nausea and I even fainted until I started eating a nutritious breakfast with lots of protein lol

An interesting fast-paced review of morning dining options in the U.S.A. For me, the biggest issue with almost every one of these menus is that they are so UNHEALTHY. How many have fresh fruits? Hot porridges? Genuine whole grains? Multigrain options? Vegan and vegetarian options? Most restaurants and hotels on land could learn a lot from the most successful cruise-lines.....
I moved to the Dallas area - where this video was filmed - a few years back. Other than Kolaches (which are unique to the region and decent), their pastry game is not great. I don't know that I've seen a bear claw here and their donuts in general are of poor quality.

I got so happy to see Black Bear Diner in this video! I grew up going and now they're a staple for me and my boyfriend. We've gone for just sides before, the sausage is amazing, like Dylan said. We've even taken family and friends when they visit from other states. HIGHLY recommend going for anyone close to one

Several times, the viewer gets the sense that you are the only person in the place and, e.g. what you showed about the bear-themed restaurant, has ZERO people. Now, for any diner, that is a big plus! The original pancake House is my favorite breakfast spot. But I get waffles there, there are white chocolate macadamia and waffles are to die for. With a side of scrambled eggs and bacon they're scrambled eggs are real eggs and they're so good.

I’m not a huge breakfast person either, but I LOVE Original Pancake House too! And If you ever find yourself in North Carolina, you should try Breakfastime! I’ve never been to Black Bear Diner, but their food and portions sizes look similar. I really think Breakfasttime could be another place to convince you to wake up early too ☺️
When chains become corporate, quality drops severely, they are usually understaffed, under paid; and quality drops along the way., their quality only usually exists in foreign countries.. Then people complain later, why are they going out of Business; apply any corporate chain here, food or retail~!! They petty blame on other things; people lazy to work, etc etc.

I think it's because they're rehydrated from dehydrated potatoes. Good to ask if they're fresh potatoes.

When chains become corporate, quality drops severely, they are usually understaffed, under paid; and quality drops along the way., their quality only usually exists in foreign countries..
Then people complain later, why are they going out of Business; apply any corporate chain here, food or retail~!! They petty blame on other things; people lazy to work, etc etc.

Dude comes over to take our order, doesn't use a pen and paper. Not a big deal some people are like that and are great at it;
Everything in all our meals were wrong.
