- A stroll around the Toy fair at the Brentwood Centre. I was having an off day so the footage wasn't great but sill some fascinating items on sale.
Quite a large and eclectic fair that I always enjoyed walking around.
Filmed at the start of 2024the fair takes place a few times a year so why not visit?
I have tried not to film people or conversations and respect that the stall are peoples lively hoods , but with this kind of event it is very difficult not to miss all, so if there are any objections, please let me know with the time on the Video.

Another great video
Thanks again Caroline, really glad they are of interest.
Thanks for the video. Jupiter is a nice model. I have a friend who is now 94 who built a 5” gauge Jupiter live steam. He took it to the USA in 1969 to photograph it at Promontory Point 100 year commemoration with the newly built full-sized Jupiter.
Its been an ambition of mine to build an older American outline loco since I was young, sadly I don't think I will ever have the skills. I did see a similar loco in the states a couple of years back at Scranton Museum.
Having seen your video I went along. You must have been early. It was packed when I went. I was diappointed with the fair. Got one small item off my list of 10. Much cheaper on ebay. The £4 each to get in would cover P&P. Unfortunatley, sensed there was a "click" with the sellers and not really felt welcome.
I actually got there quite late, so it was quiet, bit of a last min decision to go. The way I look at the fairs a £4 gets me out the house and if i find something its a bonus I usually find something but I guess it different if you are looking for something specific. Not sure about the vibe, I felt ok, but was conscious not to over step the mark with my camera and filming. Anyway thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
6:22 2 rail tinplate track in frame centre is Bing table top model from 1923. They made electric and clockwork in OO scale - first commercial OO in the world.
I do learn a lot from you Kimball, you certainly know your vintage railways - Thank you.
👍
Thanks for watching
nice video with lots of goodies. You have put lots of work into this video, but have you considered doing a video with only photos as a slideshow ? that way you can decide, when making the video, how long time each photo is going to be shown. To me as a viewer that would be perfekt giving me the time to see what is on the tables. anyway thanks for a nice video ! and oh yes i subscribed....
It is a great idea and yes I have considered it, but I don't think the stall holder would like me photographing their stock, I do try to be respectful as these are business and not an exhibition - hence why I only focus in on the item I am interested in. But Point take on board and I will try an do better. Thank you for watching and subscribing and taking the time to message and feed back. Matt
5:25 is that model of a 2 cylinder marine steam engine - it looks like it might require a boiler to feed it? Great video thanks.
I think it was, it just caught my eye.
I'm a 1/18 Ferrari diecast collector? You reckon i could find anything good at these fairs?
I would think so, the larger fairs have all kinds of diecast.
I wanted to be there😢
I did plan to go, a very last min thing. Thanks again for watching.
@@dustyshelfcollectables good for you, amazing👌🥳Thanks for sharing
Can you please slow down when you're filming, you're going way too fast to see anything, it's like you're competing in a marathon, it's very difficult to concentrate whilst you're charging around so fast, looked a good event.
Really sorry I was just having a bad day, the footage was awful, and I totally agree, I will do better next time.
@@dustyshelfcollectables no need to apologise, appreciate you taking the time to go film the event, my comment was just an observation , all the best, hope things are a bit better for you now
