      @@thegreenthumb6184 I wonder if these tree need direct and full sunlight or not? Because I put my tree on the shade and the tip of the leaves turned into brown. What should I do? Thank you.

      @@Ricky-eg3wd well when I grow mine I put mine in the direct sunlight. It I only do this after it's been in shade for 7 days. Then I move it to take direct sunlight. This helps with faster growth and stronger branches. Just a warning though these cypress trees like this grows roots fast. I had to actually repot my guy halfway in summer. I had to put him in a bigger pot in July. And he already needs a bigger pot and is getting brown tips as well. When you get brown tips it could be the tree is not getting the efficient watering that it needs cuz it needs to be in a bigger pot. I would encourage to check the roots if it's not root bound put it back in the pot replace any soil that fell out. It could be inefficient watering your just not watering enough. I know in the summer I must water my guy everyday to every other day if it's really hot out. We must remember these trees grow next by creeks lakes ponds and rivers where they get water constantly. Hope this helps!

      Thanks for the explanation but actually I watered my goldcrest everyday. Twice a day. But I put it on the shade.

      @@Ricky-eg3wd could be root bound then I'd check the roots. If that's not the case then yes grow it in sun. In my experience a lot of people who say certain trees can't take sun. Actually do way better when in full sun.

    Is it suitable for planting next to a border fence?

    • @thegreenthumb6184
      @thegreenthumb6184  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well before planting you gotta be in a zone 7 or up. You can plant it by a fence. But you might wanna make sure you trim it up. Again good for zones 7 and up no zone 6 or lower.

      It sounds like to me it needs a good misting. Cypress trees generally grow in places where they get lots of humidity. Either that's in swamps, Bogs, rivers, ponds, lakes, etc. So they do need quite a bit of humidity. Also check your pot! I find that they root really fast in new pots! And when they do this it makes it hard to keep them hydrated. But I think for the most part it sounds like it needs more humidity! Thanks for watching the videos!

      @@silko.yizhachenko depends if you have it outside or if you have it inside and your part of the country I know I have yet to do a winter video on it. But during the winter they don't need as much water. Where they grow they grow in warm to mild areas. Cypress trees grow where there is the most water. Outdoors in a pot can be different then when you live in an area where you can plant it in the ground. I don't have that option where I live. I have to keep it in a pot. There for during the summer time yes I have to water it almost every day to every other day. Especially since I keep it on the front porch where it gets direct sunlight. Things can also change as the plant gets more mature. But from my experience and a few others during the summer they need lots of water. And grow normal where water is found or water stays in the ground for much longer. In pots in colder regions we don't have the option to really put them in the ground. Thank you for watching the channel!

      @@silko.yizhachenko did I say in the video probably in swamp regions or near rivers,lakes,creeks ponds or lakes? Cuz if I didn't then my mistake. Cuz I usually say that as a way to get others to research to pin point. I just know they grow somewhere with lots of water! Lol. Why I give a wide arrange of options there. Kinda get my viewers to look things up. That way they can learn so much more! Lol. But again if I didn't mention that I'm the video I'm sorry I'm sure I ment to just forgot.

    Can I revive my lemon cypress after it wasn't cared for properly??

      It depends in how bad it looks and if the foliage is dry all over the plant.
