This is a great song, wonderful playing from Mark and Chet. Their duet album, Neck and Neck, is a must listen, the highlight being There'll Be Some Changes Made, you will it.

I's Paul Franklin on pedal steel, he also played with Dire Straits on the final album and the final tour and in Marks other band "The Nothing Hillbillies"

Yes, Paul Franklin was on the last Dire Straits album and tour. Amazing live performance they did with the song "On every street" on the live version "On the Night". The fight beetwen Mark and Paul was fantastic. And Phil Palmer was amazing too with his guitar next to Mark.

This is a great reaction video. I bought this album in the eighties when it came out - it is such a laid back, happy album where Mark, Chet Atkinson and the other musicians are just having fun. Such a positive album and just brilliant musicians playing great songs without any ego chasing.

When Elvis first started there were electric guitars. His guitarist Scotty Moore played on all of the Early Elvis songs using an electric guitar. Elvis moved from Sun records to RCA and Chet played on the first record Heartbreak Hotel.

That's fair, but it was still a pretty new thing, right?

I messed up the years a bit, First electric guitar is I believe in the 30s and Elvis was born in the 30s but his main career was in the 50s, am I right? So that makes sense that they would have electric guitars already.

@@FaanaMusic Yes, the first guitar that had electric pickup4 came out in 1930/31. In 1941 Les Paul designed the first solid body electric guitar but production problems delayed sales until 1952 by which time Fender had been making and selling the Fender Broadcaster for about four years.

Their "There'll Be Some Changes Made" on the Neck & Neck album almost sounds like a one take piece (I've a feeling it's definitely not), but it's a masterclass is taking an amazing song that's lived for 80 years and remaking it in your own parody style between Chet & Mark. Give it a listen, thought I don't know of any "videos" of it.

I hope you can react to Mark & Chet covering "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is quite beautiful.
