- Hopefully this is a definitive guide to programming the Disco 240 DMX Controller. In this case we're using it to control studio lights and therefore scenes are important. Scenes are not clear in the manual so here's the results of a voyage of discovery. This DMX controller is really valuable tool due to its programming.

good day! do i have to program the scenes again manually after every power cycle? whenever i turn off my disco240on turn it back on again, the scenes i previously programmed arent saved.
is it possible to have only one step in a chase? like just one solid scene with only one step? (e.g just the color red when i press p1)
and on a side note, what do the P13-P24 buttons do? can you program them the same way as buttons p1-p12? nobody seems to even touch those 😅
Hello Sir, tanks very much for your guide! How can i access to my light number 13? I have more than 12 lights, so i need to edit for example an RGB par led that is the 13th light.. how can edit or program it? Thanks!
Amir --- Ah the Bank 3 issue - I had problems with this - which is why I switched to QLC+ on a Raspberry Pi. I'll get the Disco 240 out and see if I can fathom how Bank 3 is different from Bank 1/2

Hi - thanks for the video. Seems to be the best on explaining how this confusing thing works! One thing you didn’t mention in your vidoe and I’m struggling to work it out is how to navigate to dmx channel 17. When I click SC (bank3) it doesn’t stay on. Any help would be appreciated.
please sir how can I program different light and colors at the same time on DMX 240
You can use a channel per colour --- in my case its R-G-B for a colour wash, but for a video light it is Brightness-Temperature. So if an RGB light has a base channel of, say, 4 then Red is on 4, Green is on 5 and Blue is on 6. Each DMX device can be difference - for example I have some colour washes that use 6 channel because they break out UV, Warm and Cool White. You can use the same start channel for all similar fitting - which is what I do. However I do split them left and right of the 'stage' area.
