- Today we are taking a look at my final Evolution Cup Battles with an incredibly strong team that helped me climb to Expert in Pokemon GO! This Evolution Cup Team was set up to sweep and made a tough Evolution Cup Meta feel very easy in GO Battle League!

Went from 2400-3000 using shadow dragonair with vigoroth on the safe swap and crocolor as a closer, definitely the biggest elo game in a cup and an amazing cup for me

Catching the Poltergeist on a Vigoroth is so satisfying. I’ve done it to my opponents in this meta. 7 Hexes is all it takes to get to Poltergeist.
Once Crocalor got found out it was game over for me 😂
I like thought of after a mirror match with Piloswine that you won you still swap in Vigoroth instantly because you know the other person is running one that'll come to farm down, the ability to actually read teams because vig and golbat are everywhere is amazing
The third opponent was me. I was really happy to test my skills against you. I tried my best and i'm satisfied even though i lost. I took it as far as possible😊

The meta came down to Booooom, classic Z
Although its a really dense meta I think it is not an rps one. Every meta mon has play into each other which makes energy management so important to flip match ups that sometimes you wouldnt be able to.
Cant remember last time I tried to secure switch advantage at all costs in this meta
100% agree. This meta is a good meta for good battlers. This meta is very little to do with alignment but more to do with game plan. You can run hard shield advantage strategies with bulky mons in the back or win alignment strategies with shadow dragonair lead. People think that vigoroth defined this meta but it really doesn't.
I built so many teams, both with and without Vigoroth and had good success. Hell I was running dragonair double water at the end in legend elo just for fun and had a 4-1 yesterday. Dragonair+Quaxwell+Marshtomp

I hope they give a bunch of mons moves for evolution cup. There is tons of potential, but vig is so bad. Give Haunter poison jab, and we're cooking.

I've won over 100 battles and got no legendary encounters. Did Niantic change something or is it just my luck?

Good Luck! I liked this cup. I could have played it better and levelled up to Veteran, but it was still a good cup. Last season I levelled up to Veteran via Catch Cup (I've done well in catch cup, I don't know why), so there's still hope!
No one is ignoring it its everywhere.
