      I know right?! He’s an exceptional player with extremely high hockey iq. He can read a play before it happens and execute it almost flawlessly. We don’t need the flashy type player. We already have Zegras. Just imagine a Zegras, Carlsson line. It’s gonna be nasty good! Super excited about our future!

      McTavish is going to be the #1 centre on the Ducks, not Zegras or Carlson. I’m not saying the other 2 aren’t good players but McTavish is an elite talent & leader.

    He’s so good. 17 years old against men in the SHL he was very good. The SHL is by far more competitive than the AHL. Its arguably the 3rd toughest league in the world behind the NHL and KHL. Against his peers he looked like a man among boys. His come up reminds me of Mathews. Even though they are different players they do have similarities. Him going 2nd is very well deserved. He just has to adapt to the smaller ice! In the 2023 World Championship against a lot of NHL’ers he went 2-3 for 5 points with a +5 in eight games and was the youngest player ever to score a goal for Sweden. In 2021 he helped Sweden to a bronze medal in the Hlinka Gretzky cup. In 2022 at the U18’s world championship he helped sweden win gold with 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games. He went 3-3 at the world juniors this year too. He’s a special player that I feel most fans dont know anything about. Lol

    Great video as usual M St-Louis!
    One day I'll get you that beer!
    Edit: I have a question for you all at Elite Prospects and if one day you get the chance to answer it in a video, stream, podcast or whatever it would be really nice. My question is which league do you think is the best at developing players? Like, if you just drafted an 18 year old and had to chose exactly where he would play (other than the NHL) where would you place him and why?
    Every league has it's positives and negatives. I don't follow other leagues as much as I would like to, but I know the complaints of a few leagues from people in general. Like QMJHL is often too focused on offense. AHL is really though on guys in general because players want to prove themselves and might injure that imaginative prospect. KHL is a sketchy place. European leagues might not get him ready for an NHL size rink. Etc (btw, not my point of view on any of these leagues, these are just comments often made on the internet in general.)
    Sorry for the long comment.

    • @sb0182
      @sb0182 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know you want EP’s answer…
      but for me personally…
      It’s the NCAA !!!
      1) you can stay up to 3 years
      (Technically 4, but after 4 prospect becomes UFA)
      2) you’re playing against guys up to 25years old.
      So not just KIDS like in the CHL.
      3) Guys are NOT looking to injure others like the AHL
      4) Less games in a calendar season…
      Which allows more time for the prospects to get
      BIGGER
      AND
      STRONGER
      in the gym.
      5) North-American rinks
      6) IN North America…
      so no problem keeping an eye on your prospects,
      no geopolitical obstacles

    • @electrohouselover07
      @electrohouselover07 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sb0182 I more than welcome anyone to give their thoughts on the subject. I also think the NCAA is one of the best leagues and i say ''one of'' just because I don't really know enough to give a clear number 1.

    • @davidst-louis8315
      @davidst-louis8315 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@electrohouselover07 In NA, NCAA or OHL/WHL. The NCAA because prospects get a longer runway to take off there (you keep their rights for longer and they get to train in the gym and mature) and the OHL/WHL because the game is closer to the NHL in style. The issue with the QMJHL is often the lack of forechecking pressure from most teams and the slower pace of play. I feel there is a bigger gap in the Q between the best teams/players and the worst ones. But it's not that far behind the OHL/WHL (just slightly). In EU, well the professional leagues are better than the Junior ones, obviously.
