Hi Graham The Flight of Sleipnir cd arrived this morning. EISENTOM (the label sent me a brochure)great bands they have. Fellwarden Givre Cantique Lepreux Fluisteraars Have to hit the bank account again Cheers mate Jonathan
You have a wide range of tastes, which is great! But, that means we disagree! 😅. I love Warlust, Kanonenfeiber, Ripped to Shreds and Coffin Rot. Looking forward to hearing Typhonian. Sounds like my style. Thanks for the find. Great month!
Great list as always, this was a packed month so I haven't listened to a lot of these. I am interested in checking out Amythyst, Helvetets Port and Blitzkreig as they sound like they would be up my alley.
Great list! My favourite of the month is probably Winterfylleth. An album I would recommend from this month is Skogen by Skuld. The debut of an atmospheric/blackgaze bm band from the region I live in in Norway. I really think you will enjoy it. I love the album art as well.
@@AlvsakerSimon Nice! Glad you enjoyed that one. I am listening to Skuld right now - just a couple tracks in, but ya its definitely my kind of thing. Enjoying it so far!
Hi, I love to check your recommendations every month! Would it be too much trouble for you if next time you put in the description the albums in order from 20 to 1 please? Best regards!!
Cheers, thanks! I list all the albums in the description, but I just do it alphabetically so that I don't spoil the order. I want to leave the anticipation for watching the video to see the ranking haha
Horna and Obsar sound awesome. Thanks for sharing your list! There were a handful of bands that I did enjoy this month and you can catch my list on my video for September. But man I missed Ripped to Shreds! I’m listening now! Cheers 🍻
Cheers man! I will definitely check out your video too. Ya I think you will dig Ripped to Shreds. Probably one of my favorite death metal records from this year
Awesome list Graham hitting my wallet again no problem. Love your videos. So refreshing not to hear a channel that fkg (sorry) doesn't go on about number of subscribers don't forget to hit the like etc. You do it for your passion and love of awesome music. Cheers Jonathan 🤘🤘💯💯💯
Esoctrilihum. I have similar feelings regarding the band, Eternity of Shaog was a top 5 record for me back in 2020 and the 2021 followup The Serpent Telepath was great as well. But I have not been enthused to listen to the new one despite having it as a DL on my laptop for around 10 days, partly because the record is too long and partly due to not being mixed on a lot of the recent material.
100% agree. Eternity of Shaog and Dy'th Requiem were both great, but nothing since then has really struck a chord with me. Always some decent material, but too much of it sounds the same and is way too long. frustrating
Ah, Esoctrilihum. He just never followed up with anything of the same quality as the Serpent Telepath record from 2021 for me. I can listen to his new stuff in small doses, but like you said, his albums are just too long. My favorite "september releases" are pretty much all late august albums that didn't arrive in the mail before this month, meaning I didn't hear them until september. Koldbrann, Avmakt (sounds like 'Darkthrone - Ravishing Grimness' part 2) and Nile all released some decent stuff.
Totally agree. I loved some earlier Esoctrilihum, but the more recent albums have been a bit of a drag. Good moments, but just not quite there in whole. That Avmakt album was pretty cool - so reminiscent of Darkthrone! Anyways, cheers man!
I loved the new Kanonenfieber, Ripped to Shreds, the Black Dahlia Murder, and Winterfylleth albums. I need to check out the new Esoctrilihum, Horna, and Mork albums as I’ve enjoyed their previous albums. Some more of my favorite metal albums would be the new Wolfheart - Draconian Darkness, Flotsam and Jetsam - I Am the Weapon, Bewitcher - Spell Shock, and Pyrrhon - Exhaust.
Officium triste is another brilliant release from my favourite melodic doom death band . Winterfylleth is an automatic purchase for me .. not got or heard it yet .. or bloody Valkrie.. Great video .. my list increases again 😂
The Officium Triste is awesome ! I still prefer the previous album but this new one is awesome and will definitely be (or should be lol) on my 2024 top 10
Great picks! What a stacked month. just when I thought I had heard most of the recommendations, you have given me 4 or 5 more that I need to dive into haha! Love seeing Ripped to Shreds at the top. Honestly now that I have spent even more time with it, I think it is my favorite death metal album of the year (so far anyways). Cheers man!
@@MrOmac09 Nice! Glad you liked it. Ya it was my fave of the month, probably gonna be high on my year end list too. Although that exercise is going to be very difficult to narrow down haha
@HammerheartMetalReviews the year-end list is going to be ridiculously hard to compile, I currently have 100+ contenders for my top 50, and who knows how many more great albums are yet to come.
Hey man! Could you spell out the name of the Slovakian folk black metal band? I couldnt really make it out when you said it in the video 😉 My favorite albums of the month that weren't mentioned were.... Arkona- Stella Pandora Forgjord- Perkeleen Weri I guess that's it. New Akrona is goddamn amazing. Might knock Nahtrunar out of place for my album of the year.
Cheers man! That Slovakian band is Obšar. Their previous album was killer folky black metal. This new one does some different things, but its still pretty good. Thanks for the picks as usual too, I have not listened to either of those, so they are going on my list for the week to check out!
You summed up how I feel about Esoctrilihum lately. I remember really enjoying Dyth Requiem and Consecration, after that the albums were coming out too frequently and were far too overlong. This latest one I wasn't too excited to hear it, when I finished it I barely liked certain sections. Definitely my least favorite record from this band. Good video once again.
Ya its unfortunate, as I really enjoyed some of his earlier albums. But with releasing 70 minute albums every year, I just dont find it that interesting any more. The quality has suffered with lack of editing and too many similar sounding ideas. Cheers!
Loved new Blitzkrieg, Mork and Winterfylleth, the rest I will check out :) The new Satan I haven't heard in full, only couple of tracks so far, seems promising. I'd give a shout-out to the few more releases: Bewitcher - "Spell Shock" / Very fun album of the so called "Black'n'Roll". Like it a lot. Victory - "Circle of Life" / Good old hard rock/heavy metal, reminds me of Edguy, very similar vocals. Alunah - "Fever Dream" / Love these guys, 70's inspired doomy hard rock/heavy metal Castle - "Evil Remains" / Great doom/heavy metal release, similar to veterans like Saint Vitus Witchcraft - "Eternal Sea" / This is as raw as it gets 😀 Epic heavy/power metal, but with the raw black-like atmosphere of very early Bathory and Celtic Frost. Quite good. Cheers! \m/
Cheers man! Ya the new Satan I thought was decent, but it just didn't hit me as hard as I was hoping for. But the new Blitzkrieg on the other hand was really good! Thanks for the additional recommendations too! I have only heard a couple of those, so definitely gonna check out the rest. That Witchcraft album sounds like it would be something I will really enjoy
Hi Graham
The Flight of Sleipnir cd arrived this morning.
EISENTOM (the label sent me a brochure)great bands they have.
Fellwarden
Givre
Cantique Lepreux
Fluisteraars
Have to hit the bank account again
Cheers mate
Jonathan
haha nice! Ya the bank account is constantly getting hit with all these releases!
The time of huge bands is over. All scenes are fragmented, more and more, in a never-ending evolution. Like a fractal.
Thanks a lot!
No problem at all! Thanks for putting out such a killer album. Cheers!

Cheers! Ya I have a feeling you will enjoy all three of those! All pretty good releases
Amethyst is awesome! I have to check out those other two as well...
Great list! My favourite of the month is probably Winterfylleth.

Cheers! Thanks for the pick too. I haven't heard that album, so adding it to my list to check out this week!
@@HammerheartMetalReviews I Also checked out your number one pick with The Flight of Sleipnir. It was straight up my alley. Really good album. Cheers!
@@AlvsakerSimon Nice! Glad you enjoyed that one. I am listening to Skuld right now - just a couple tracks in, but ya its definitely my kind of thing. Enjoying it so far!

Cheers Jonathan! haha ya every month it hits the wallet a little with all these albums
☕️ cheers Graham! A lot of stuff I haven’t heard yet.
Cheers man!
Kanonenfieber & Winterfylleth are going in my top 10 of the year for sure.
Nice! I swear every month my top 10 is getting harder to narrow down haha
Thank you very much for the nice words 🤘 Cheers from Sweden 🤘
Thank you for putting out a great album! Cheers!

@HammerheartMetalReviews such a insane month. There's 8 or 9 of yours I need to check out, Ripped to Shreds is so damn killer🤘
@HammerheartMetalReviews
Holy shit, The Flight of Sleipnir album is so awesome, thanks for that one!

Akhlys - House of the Black Gemini
*ALBUM OF THE YEAR*
Truly horrific music, akhyls sounds like nothing else I've ever heard. Badass album

I knew you would dig Blitzkrieg 😊 it's so much better than the new Satan IMO. Winterfylleth is fantastic too
Cheers! Ya totally agree. The new Satan was OK, but the new Blitzkrieg album kills it
If only the Flight of the Sleipnir could shake off their stoner sound they would count among the modern greats, but alas...
Fair enough...I am not a huge stoner doom guy either. It doesnt bother me in Flight of Sleipnir's sound too much, but I get where you are coming from
Check new Arkona album "Stella Pandora"
Thanks for the recommendation! Someone else mentioned this one to me as well, definitely going to be checking it out this week.
