This didn't do a thing for me. Putting in the code probably only works on certain types of phones. However, while reading through the comments (to see if it had any value), I noticed several postings about MKT Engineering mode (thank you Tatyana cathey). I went to the playstore, installed it, and everything WORKED WONDERFULLY! So, after all, thank you, Android WizKid, for your video post (as some of it was quite helpful)!!

May I respectfully make one point which others might find useful?
On a couple of forums/blogs related to resetting the Loudspeaker for the Ulefone Power the posters advise NOT to put the settings at max as it can damage the component.
The number they suggest is about 90 percent of the max. This percentage might be worth keeping in mind for all settings, such as Microphone, too (a lot of Ulefone Power users seem to have a fuzzy mike according to the users' forums).
Surely 80 percent of max would be enough for most users anyway?

The new Galaxy phones do not have that high volume any longer...i need that feature to be able to hear speech. And to be able to hold correct distance from my ears.
Or...do any other phones on Earth have a permanent 'on' for high speech volume when on speaker setting?

For everyone that have sound proplems, before doing any changes on your phone system just make sure there is no protection stiker on the speaker, i had the same problem on my galaxy s5 the sound was very weak :) but when i looked closely on the speaker i relised that there is a very invisible stiker on it.

I tried this on a LG spirit running on old OS and a brand new Galaxy s5 and it works on neither . I think all these videos I watched are from people living outside the US and our phones wont do this unless they are rooted .

best video I have seen on this topic but I still cant get into Audio mode with the code. Should it go into test mode when i dial the code? It tries to make a phone call. I have downloaded apps but It says chipset is missing. It finally dawned on me this is a pre pay J7. Does that make it impossible to change audio settings? I seriously can't hear my phone! Thank you!

Hello there, Android WizKid and everyone else!:
I know why this isn't working on alot of devices! This only works if you have a device with a Mediatek chipset, such as a mtk6572, mtk6577 or mtk6577T, just to name a few. This means that if you have a chipset that's not from Mediatek (for example a Quallcomm Snapdragon or Intel Atom or any other chipset that's not from Mediatek), this simply isn't going to work!!!
I don't know for sure if this works on newer Mediatek chipsets than the ones i've stated above, so if you're 100% sure you have a Mediatek (mtk) chipset in the first place, definitely try out the MTK Engineering Mode app from the Play Store if the dialer code doesn't work!

Thank you Roger, I feel less like a fool now. I watched 3 (THREE ) different videos on this & they all promised the same thing - to increase the volume with this little cheat code. I even wrote it down to make sure I was getting it right. I wish the people making the videos would say what phones this could be used on.

you might want to explain somewhere that your volume increase codes do NOT work on anything above kitkat or most Samsung devices unless they are running mtk chipset

I'm being forced very soon to upgrade to 5G phone...and none of the new Galaxies have the 'Extra Volume' screen button for phone calls. I can't possibly hear caller any other way. On my present, soon to be obsolete, Galaxy phone...it has it. Samsung rep texted me no new ones do.

I found another guide, it needs you to download mobileuncle mtk tools from playstore. Your device needs to be rooted obviously. Find an option called engineering mode, and select android or mtk, whichever suits you. It should take you to engineering mode. Well it an alternative for the above given method. I hope it works for you, man !! Good day..!!
