    Thank you for sharing this important information. I was at Lake Nacimiento a couple days ago and while be checked by a Fish and Wildlife officer, he informed me about the Golden muscle in the Delta. This is bad news on top of all the other invasive species issues! We have plenty of fishing opportunities right here in the lower central valley, so I guess I won't be going to the Delta anytime soon.

      No problem. Yeah, but don't let it stop you fishing. Hopefully, it will get better soon

    If you are on anchor, keep an eye out upriver for trees coming down!

    If that is the case. Its from those ships that travels up to Sacramento. Big shipping ships. They release they hull waters and hence releasing the waters from where they first took in aka foriegn water

    • @fishtherapy247

      Yup, it's most likely from international ships

  • @ethencuevas6886

    I feel like its from the ships that go to the deep water channel in west sac

    Heresy report from the day before yesterday when the storm started. We were smacking them at rio vista from the top of the tide to outgoing off anchovies and live baits (mud suckers, shiners, pike minnow).

      @@fishtherapy247 hey man I’m originally from the bay and been out here a couple years!!! Could you tell me a spot or 2 for catfish. I been to deep water channel and clarksville and KL boat launch. I find places by watching channels like yours and others. Now if we we’re in the bay, we wouldn’t have a problem. I can tell you where to go fishing out there lol 😂

    • @fishtherapy247

      Right there just pass the boat launch turn left instead of following the road Right there's a dam with good catfish. Or look on your Google maps, follow the road Cranmore rd. Following it on the level, you will start seeing beaches go to the second beach you see. Good catfish spot!

    Only if the mussels were edible 😅

    • @SpamMusubi308

      Can they be used as bait for other species of game?

    • @fishtherapy247

      I don't see why we couldn't use an as bait. That's a great idea. Not sure about the law?

    Question are these invasive muscles safe for human consumption? Can they be harvested by hand? Do you need a current fishing license on hand when harvesting? Is there a bag limit? Thanks

    • @fishtherapy247

      No, you can not eat golden muscles.They are invasive and harmful to the environment and human health.

    Yeah wait until people find out it's eatable all if a sudden it's 10 per person only

    • @fishtherapy247

      Hahaha, that's actually a good idea if they are edible. No limit on golden muscle will get rid of the in no time

    • @phantomf4747

      Or they will monetize it by making us get a tag for them. The state never passes up and opportunity to tax outdoorsmen.

      @joseduran7368 California speciality. Make us pay to get rid of an invasive species.

  • @kianoreeves9623

    Wait aren’t stripers invasive?

    • @fishtherapy247

      NO strippers are neutralized now. They have been here for over 145 years. They are native to the Atlantic Ocean. Strippers are now very important to our fishery system.

    • @kito1san

      Stripers are from the East Coast. It was intentionally released for the hope of another trophy fish to fish. Since it was intentional, they won't say it's invasive.

    • @craignmz5264

      Still not a native species.

    • @joseduran7368

      They are invasive. Many don't want to admit since they like fishing for them but salmon already have native predators that prey on them. Now add striped bass and we've got even more salmon being eaten before they even grow
