I don't think that Link level was dedicated to Ryukahr, the name seems to be a reference to Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden
yeah you even "climb" walls in the level like in Gaiden

Optimal boo strat: Hit the dev block then jump off it and spin to the end, avoiding everything.
Those boo rings looked setup like a hold right auto if you were going the correct speed. Basing that on where the circles seemed to be as you walked past the center and they started turning on the way out

I think the boos cover their face because they are the souls of the enemies that mario and luigi killed and when they see to they face they remember and get scared.

I got a challenge for you. I have the wr on a quick lesson on how to kiazo (XWM-XFY-SVG). I've optimized it as good as I can but I know there's room for improvement. If your up for the challenge see if you can take it.

5:17 I don't think there is a dev star. Boo rings chase you so you just bait them into leaving and then avoid them one on one ._. It's easy.
