When my brother and my sister went to see Boracay they weren’t enjoying it because it so crowded. A year ago me and wife decided to visit and my friends advice is to check in to a nicer hotel like Movenpick. It was the most enjoyable experience and its wife most beautiful place to visit the Philippines. It wasnt crowded as Station 1 or 2 and its like we own this private beach of our own. Watching from 🇺🇸
Those who prefer cooler places will like Baguio more than Boracay but it doesn’t mean that the first is better than the latter as a place to visit and enjoy. Baguio is a nice cool place to visit but it pales in comparison to Boracay as an overall destination.
I think people prefer Baguio only bc the elevation and cooler weather is so rare for Filipinos. There are a couple of other notable beaches in the Philippines (Coron, El Nido) and even if they don't have popular resorts, there are dozens more of beach areas in PH that locals can go to. Boracay does have a more lively atmosphere than those other beach spots though so that's one thing that makes it more unique.
Maybe the reason most of the Filipinos preferred Baguio is because there are less colder places like Baguio and Tagaytay than the normal temperature places here in the Philippines that people can go to. And the ambiance there is like going outside the country. Then there are many beaches here in the Philippines and there are also beaches almost same like Boracay that are hidden and only few people know. And because Philippines is an archipelago, even if the sea or beach is not the same paradise as Boracay, there are many beaches that are accessible to most people.
I agree, I understand why many Filipinos choose Baguio over Boracay, Baguio is the only place in the Philippines that has a very cold weather, which is why I love to be in Baguio too. The atmosphere and ambience in Baguio is very different from most other parts of the Philippines. But anyway, Stay safe and Enjoy your trip to Boracay!💗💗💗

For me, Boracay is good for vacation, not much to do. But Baguio, you can settle for long term. Between the two, if I'm just a tourist, I'd go for Boracay. But if I'm looking for a place to settle for long term, I'd go for Baguio.
I think Boracay or other beaches in the Philippines is much popular to foreigners because of the weather like it's hotter and also because of the beaches. While we Filipino's want colder weather like Baguio. That is why their are lots of Filipinos that are going to Baguio. 😊😊😊

According to the news here LaNiña will start in Sept. Usually dec to March/april is a great weather here
August is rainy season but so hot at morning till noon and mostly rains in the afternoon.
