This song is one of the latest of the fist act. The choreography is spectacular. Not as incredible as Masquerade, but not far from it. There was a standing ovation the very first day (3rd December). About the show, I must say that it is the most refreshing musical from Andrew since the revival of Joseph. It is funny, sometimes serious, and with wonderful music. A masterpiece. I only hope that, in spite of the ill-fated reviews, word of mouth will prevail and it will be the big success it deserves to be.
Saw this musical today and it was absolutely phenomenal! It deserves to do well! Andrew is a genius and the cast and team that have put this together are so talented! Definitely not a show to miss out on! Amazing!!!
Simply brilliant. Who else but Lord Lloyd-Webber would think of pairing such a wonderful Elgar-ish melody - quintessentially English - with lyrics that are superbly raunchy and all but traditional. Can't wait to see this!
This was actually an excellent and brilliant show. Surprisingly adult and also touching. Hard to believe Andrew Lloyd Webber wrote it, but he did and it should have been a much bigger success than it was.
I really want to see this, it looks brilliant. The "you won't be okay by the time Bill's finished with you" part is really funny, gosh knows how that looks on stage XD
So excited! Coming across from Perth, Australia to see this in January; sounds amazing and love this song! ALW and the team have done an amazing job it seems!
Who knows? The Profumo affair, though not as well known over here as it is in the UK, has timeless and timely lessons about the miscarriage of justice.
This song is brilliant, I've constantly sung it around the house since I first heard it. Though when I start say this like stroke me and don't hang about and abuse me I do get weird looks from my housemates.
ALW bringing life to the forefront 'never had it so good" all this generation should listen to learn a bit about life.,,At start I could pick out a bit of "what a frenzy moment this is on the Ascot"
ALW is at his best when he writes about larger than life characters and situations. Think of the dynamic 'Superstar, the flinty beauty of Evita, the sweeping majesty of 'Phantom and the glamour and tragedy of Sunset'. This new show is about something rather small scale and seedy. It must also be a contender for the most boring title of any musical in the history of the theatre.

This is fabulous, and Alex Hanson looks amazing as Stephen Ward! Cannot wait to see it. Bravo ALW!

from what i have heard of this it won me over :)
Can't wait to see this musical!!!!
I saw it twice during its all-too-brief run in London. I hope it is eventually produced in the US

Got to Love the combination Andrew Lloyd Webber and S&M
Thank you so much
I would love to see how this is staged/choreographed. Such a catchy tune - it's been in my head all day!
"Who is that in the mask?" Suddenly the Phantom of the Opera appears...
won me over? I'M SO SEEING THIS!
Thanks Mark, glad we've won you over
Love it. That is all.

Brilliant!
Gloriously bonkers.
'Who is that in the mask?' He's there, the Phantom of the Opera!
Oh my Lord! The lyrics! Um... Am I offended or intrigued? INTRIGUED.
XD what the fuck did i just listen too?
Thank Laura
The best song :D
"You've never had it so good" sounds so similar to "For he's the St. James's Street Cat" or "By Bustopher Jones in white spats" in Cats.
yes I couldn't place it, but definitely similar

sounds like a cross between Bustopher Jones and Peron's latest flame

*at first, but I agree
was going to see it changed my mind 😁
Anyone elso hear a similarity to Ascot Gavott from My Fair Lady?
LOL and DOES sound like a mix of Bustopher Jones and other unfortunate tunes.
Very Evita-ish. Echoes "Peron's Latest Flame"
1989 film Scandal was better. Though great casting of Christine and Mandy.
Eva Beware of the City + Journey to the Heaviside Layer.
The chorus does sound rather like Bustopher Jones. Fun though.
This is boring me to tears.
Did you read the end of the song?
In the show they all start stripping and spanking each other. So not boring.
Its an x rated ascot govette!!!! Not very clever, but i must admit, my bad self likes it!!
thought the concept of this was bonkers..... ALW I was wrong and I apologise....!
Sounds like Cats
