I love Turkey. This is one of my favorite Destinations to visit. My last visit Sept. 2019 was a bit more of an adventure having to figure out the new airport transportation and transit system. Also was the first time we took the boat over to the kadikoy area. Funny for yrs. I would take the tram. Walk around the Karakoy, Spice market, Grand Bazaar and backstreets, Istikal street daily but never actually taken the boat or underground metro to the otherside. It was great to try something new. I'm disappointed that my vacation was cancelled this year but hopefully in the coming months I will return. Thank you so much for this video.
Nice info Bery, I'd also add the habit of taking shoes off at the threshold of a home as a basic tradition of Turkish society, as your host will offer you a pair of slippers to wear at home. Been to Turkey 19 times so far & the number will keep growing. Much love from Lebanon!
Thank you for sharing some wonderful facts about Turkey. My 1st trip was planned for May, unfortunately the COVID-19 situation has put everything on hold at the moment. I find the history of Turkey interesting, spanning two continents you have a mix of traditional and more Westernised Turkey. I will be visiting soon. I spent quite sometime in Turkey and TRNC back in the 90s. Istanbul is a very different city now. Would be nice if you show us TRNC in your videos too.

We are so sad our trip to Turkey was cancelled but will visit next April, Be safe and stay healthy
