I love when you do 101 facts about different countries
I lived in Istanbul for two years and did some traveling around...I just loved it and miss it. Every now and again, just out of nowhere I get a pang for it. I always thank Turkey and the people there for making my time so beautiful.
Turkey is interesting for a number of reasons. Of all the Muslim countries I visited in 1975, I liked Turkey the best, mostly because it was the most secular.
@Lianhua Xin Not yet. We made it to South India and stayed there for several weeks.
@@gawross7860 Although the whole Iranian revolution happened, I believe (although I haven't visited yet) that Iran / Persia is also an amazing country to visit. And alot of the youth are pretty "secular" too.
@@somethung8188 Agreed. I enjoyed Iran in 1975, and the people are definitely interesting.
What do Turkish people think about the Aztecs and native Americans what is your opinion about the Aztecs and native Americans
I am 51 years old. I spent my whole life in Turkey but it is the first time l hear 25% of these facts about my country.

Actually it is not a huge surprise, Turks speak Turkish which is very original for 1300~ years. The huge mistake is to think that the Turks speak arabic.

101 facts about Chernobyl.
Do 101 facts about the country of Nicaragua!!
At 2:09 is a mosque in Abu Dhabi. Absolutely nothing to do with Turkey or Istanbul.
65: Actually, the Hagia Sofia (Aya Sofya Turkish) is registered as a Mosque to the state archives by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's himself, but used as a museum. Now its a museum out of praying times, and a partially-mosque in prayer times. Even before it was "declared" (gov't advertisementship quality lack) a mosque, which it was officially documented and registered as a mosque since 1925 actually, tourists and visitors were kindly expected to abide mosque dress codes (yes NOT islamic dress codes), as a courtesy call. Noone forced you to do it, but could have made some people roll eyes on you :) . AND now it is still visited with the EXACT same rules, schedules, dress codes etc. slightest of the differences is at the dress code, where the praying times dress codes is expected to be followed otherwise visitors expected to visit outside of praying times :)

I have a lot of fans/readers in Turkey who follow me on Twitter. This began when I assured my friends, family, and fans that they wouldn't lie on the international stage about Jamal Khashoggi's murder (god rest his soul). Tensions felt extremely high at the time and I'm aware of the USA's attachment to Saudi Arabia. Rest assured, Turkish people, I will 100% protect your integrity if ever I have a chance, and I will never stand for a war on your shores.
