First time watching your video. Are you ok with some feedback? Ditch the wonky rocking editing. It was SUPER distracting and I couldn't watch the rest of the video... even though I wanted to dive deep into AC vs. DC coupling.
Thanks for the comment sir! I am always open for feedback and appreciate all of it. None of my videos were getting views, and I am just getting started with the channel, so figured I would try to get creative and see what works and what doesn't. This video was certainly not a popular one.
@@RockyBroadSolarLLC looks like your channel is super new (Joined Oct 27, 2023). There's a LOT of competition out there in youtube land. @@RockyBroadSolarLLCI’d remake this video. It has great information so you’re close. The flickering border and the music are distracting from the information. Run through your presentation several t8me so it’s really smooth. You know the information so try to relax. The TH-cam game is tough.
The DC from PV is not going direct to the battery, there is a charge controller that babies the batteries with current needed, while a string of PV runs higher voltage. The power loss is minimal, but not zero.
Can we AC and DC couple at the same time? I think yes. What are issue will occure during the the setup? As DYI Trying to see what benefits for both system intergrated?
Absolutely. Depends on your inverter, but many battery capable inverters do allow you to both AC and DC couple separate PV systems at the same time. This would also give you another level of redundancy in case one of the two systems went down. Thanks for watching!
I have built an off grid system where I use the utility as backup. On my home I have also several transfer switches, so I can switch several high power use devices back and forth from utility to battery. (basically water heater, pool pump and air conditioning) This is useful in peak winter or if there are 3 days of rain. For single phase all this is very easy. I would have chosen differently for a 3 phases home. Power bill is about 6% of what it was. I use recycled 18650, used old PV, and 4 chinese cheap 3000VA inverters, since 2014 nothing broke. roughly 9KW PV and 12KWH batteries. 24V 7S battery system.

I like pictures, especially when it comes to complicated things, well done on being a standout explainer of this topic!
Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching the channel.

Outstanding....great comparison. Would love to see AC vs DC coupled systems compared (Enphase 5P vs Tesla PW 3...with pros and cons).
Great suggestion! I will add it to the list!

Makes sense!

Can a stand-by generator (Generac) be hooked up to a solar panel dc battery system to assist when the electric supplier is off line?
Yes, Either of these options can be combined with a standby generator for an additional layer of backup power. Thanks for watching!

Great input. Thanks for watching the channel!
You assume roof mounted panels. Ground mount can’t start a roof fire.
The music is very annoying . The rest is very good.
Thanks for watching and noted.
