thats the problem with living in the mountains.the only flat land is usually between 2 big hills with room for a drainage creek & a road, which are in all reality flood plains.& since water is subject to gravity, your basically screwed by natures lack of mercy.

I have the Sol-Ark 12k on one house for about 3 years. After the 2nd year I started getting random drop outs for about 1/2 second, about 3 times a day, with no alarms. Could not correlate it to anything, always occurred while running under steady state conditions. Sol-Ark techs tried to help me, but in the end there was no solution, and now it is something I have to live with. The most annoying part of it is I lose my internet connection every time it happens and have to wait 2 minutes for the router to reboot. Sure I can by a UPS for the router, but the uninterrupted feature when the Sol-Ark was working properly was one of the reasons I chose it. Because of that, and other reasons, I am now installing a EG4-18k on a 2nd house.

we live in Colorado. We know how to shovel we want to help. We don’t want to be turned away. We have hats, gloves, boots we can have boots on the ground and we can be a helping hand. The sickening thing that I keep hearing is Insurance Companies haven’t even showed up, and if the people get through to their Insurance Company they are given them bad news. Saying nothing will be covered‼️My husband and I have had Ins. On everything we’ve owned and do own. And I know a lot of these families are the same way. I think it’s time to Hold Them Accountable‼️

INSURANCE ADVICE given from a Florida agent (and good human for sharing): For anyone who sustains water damage: when placing a claim do NOT use the word flood. At all. Don’t even agree that your house was flooded if they say something like ‘oh so the house is flooded’. No. Bad. Respond using ‘no my home did not flood, my home had water intrusion/damage due to hurricane winds and rain’ Use things like ‘water intrusion from hurricane winds’ and ‘water damage due to hurricane force winds’. WATER INTRUSION AND WATER DAMAGE. No flood. They will throw out your claim faster than you can finish speaking. Same goes for your car and anything else insured. When submitting a claim don’t just say ‘toaster’ cause they’ll go as cheap as possible and send you a $7 Walmart toaster even though you had a $450 Hamilton Beach 4 slice digital toaster or something. The more serial numbers and photos and receipts the better honestly. For everything. Appliances, furniture, electronics, etc. Cannon camera with 2 lenses can go from $1,200 to $70,000 real fast if you don’t specify make and model and generation and alllllll of that. Stay safe. ♥ Eta: it’s about phrasing the damages as hurricane damages. Hurricane insurance and flood insurance are two separate insurances. Even if you say ‘hurricane caused flooding’ they will put it under flood insurance and your claim will be wholly denied. ‘Water damage due to hurricane’ is the best classification. Not flood damage. Your home sustained water intrusion not flooding.‼‼

This is Gerald in Georgetown, Hall's Towing was down on the Blue Ridge Road, there is a cross over creek on the road to the left of the property that crosses the hi way and sinc I have been up there there is a trailer park on the right side. the property goes from the hi way all the way back to the river. The buildings on the hi way were a block building on the right side with the access to the back on the right side. There was an attacthed building maybe metal on the left side with a board fence to the left side. I had never been in the left side building and from the Google earth photo the fence is new. Give me a shout out if you would. Thanks

Anytime you have wood touching the soil, you should use the ancient Japanese wood preservation technique called shou-sugi-ban. Using a propane torch, char the wood and then wire brush away the lose material. Wood will last centuries.
