It doesn't have to be intimidating. You can add water and have the light and flowery aspect of watercolor or apply a thick layer and have a punchy illustrator like aspect to it. You can do it!
trust me, it’s honestly not as scary as u think !! i know exactly how you feel but you’ve just gotta be more accommodated to it ahaha. like starting my out with tiny strokes instead of being confident with your lines - yes confidence can always improve your drawing it’s perfectly fine (and sometimes better) to start off small :)) just a matter of practicing different mediums and seeing which one is for you!! even though you should try to practice em all !! you’ll feel a lot better once you start the piece :)

Also: i notice that your paper ripped a little when you removed the tape. It helps if you warm the tape with a hairdryer! The glue will get sticky again and you dont have any problems removing it from your paper!

Both are pretty and unique. Watercolor is more transparent than gouache, so gouache has more of an illustration feel to it.
