So glad u showed the different ways to sign "miss". I feel like a lot of time I'm using the wrong sign for whatever English word I'm trying to sign but I'm still learning and proud of how far I've come.
You should be proud! Thanks for the positive feedback. I know it can be confusing when you are learning (any language) but keep practicing and have faith in yourself. Don’t be afraid to make mistakes either. That’s another way we learn.
Miss looks like say, and the other gesture looks like guess. Sign language can have such little nuances and subtleties (i.e. facial expression, palm orientation, hand movement, hand shape, etc.) that change the meaning.
Yes! The subtle changes can make it confusing when learning. Good eye with noticing the similarities. Facial expression will always play a key role in determining the meaning.
