I just put 60 hours into this game and I refused to use sprinklers. My thought process was they cost a lot to make and what you get doesn't seem worth it. I'm a little over ten hours in and I've crafted 20 normal sprinklers and 20 quality sprinklers. They are 100 percent worth it and I feel a bit silly. Yes they cost a lot to make but they also give you time to do other things in hand like.. go to the mine and get the resources to make them. They also make watering can and ho upgrades pretty pointless in the early and mid game.. possibly in the late game too. This means you can focus on upgrading your more important tools first.
I got that sentiment because I play the old harvest moon. But the difference in content between the game is huge, so having them is a no brainer after a few weeks of my playtime.
I know I’m late to this but I’m pretty new to the game and thought the Same thing but I’m around 300 hours in my farm and I still haven’t upgraded the watering can
I prefer to buy one iridium sprinkler from Krobus each Friday, and save all my iridium for crafting crystalariums. I also like that the island farm has that river next to the farmable land where you can plant rice and taro root and not have to water them at all.
I actually got how. So first, we need to get sewer key (by donate to Gunther and after 60 or something, he gave the sewer key). Then, talk to Krobus several times. When he ran out of words, the selling text appear
Just one thing the basic sprinklers are really good for is vinyards. you make a line of them in between two rows of trellis crops. Sure you're only watering 2 crops per sprinkler. But there are merits to doing it like that. The first is that they are pretty cheap. And once built are permanent. And this allows you to place your trellises in a nice line which is not only visually appealing but much easier to harvest than surrounding a quality sprinkler with 8 trellises. This is a literal godsend for labor intensive trellises like hops. And if you have a harvest with scythe mod and place a single row path between two banks of trellises you can even harvest the two inner rows at the same time. It might be a bit higher in terms of initial investment. But I think the time saving setup and visual appeal more than makes up for it.
I'm nearing 200 hours on my new farm after coming back to Stardew recently and I'm still blown away by all the content 1.5 has added. I'm only now starting to spend more time on Ginger Island, and still need about 45 more walnuts before I even unlock that room/cave. Can't wait to get that new sprinkler though. So easy losing so much time in Stardew, and to make things worse I want to create a new Beach farm and try working on the Hilltop one all while trying to get my forest farm perfect 😂
You say at the beginning of the video that you're "so close to one thousand subscribers"... look at you now! Amazing! Just learning the game and your vids are so great. Thanks and congrats on your success!
I had the same thought! I thought I misheard at first but it makes sense. This is one of the best guides. The video is clear, concise and the visual guide helps.
The reason I want sprinklers cos they do all the watering for you. When you want big growing areas, spending an entire day or waste all your energy just by watering your plants really blows. You wanna plant and let the plants take care of themselves.
I get pretty over watering pretty quickly XD At least no sprinkler goes to waste, just move them over to Ginger Island when you replace your quality sprinklers with iridium sprinklers
I wish I actually looked at the description of the farms because I clicked on beach farm for my first ever play of Stardew. One of the citizens had gifted me a sprinkler but saw in the item description that it didn't work on sand so I was so confused and figured out that I chose a non-beginner map... Anyways continued the world and now I'm married to Maru, have a kid, and still having to plant every single plant every morning
almost 1k subs!!! thats awesome lily keep up the amazing work!! call me lame but i like watering my farm manually hehe just too keep myself occupied at the start of every new day
I plan on using deluxe fertilizer instead of retaining soil on ginger island so that I can get higher quality ancient fruit since I only have so many kegs that I’ll have to sell some anyway.
I’m a beginner and I thought “4 direct areas” or whatever meant 4 slots in each direction, not 4 in total LOL HELP because I made a GIANT FARM and I have no energy nor patience to water it all with my trusty level 1 watering can 😭😭😭😭😭
Will the sprinklers automatically run in the morning? When I woke up and went out, the plants still weren't watered? Do I need to connect the sprinkler to a water source or will it happen later in the morning or what?
i get excited when i'm able to craft quality sprinklers. gets annoying to water crops--even with an upgraded watering can. oldest playthrough, and i think i have maybe 2 iridium sprinklers? and i have those because i got lucky with the traveling cart having battery packs and somehow managed to farm iridium in both the quarry and mines (managed to make a lightning rod towards end of fall year 1 due to said luck in mines and quarry)
You know what? I now just saw the quality sprinkler's ingredients... And I thought it was copper, iron and quarts.. i didn't know it was gold and not copper all along.
It should, she made a video about turning the sheds into greenhouses with the retaining fert and garden pots. I can't believe I never thought of that myself! Lol
Does anyone know how to get an Enricher off a sprinkler on MOBILE? Hitting it with a tool does NOT work so please don’t just say hit it with a tool. It just opens the Enricher. Same goes for pressure nozzle on mobile. Can’t remove and therefore can’t move sprinklers at all or change out pressure nozzle to Enricher or vice versa. Halp!!!
I used to love playing this game, its been ages since i touched this game. Thanks for bringing back some very fond memories.
You should give it a try again!
The latest update has added some very interesting things, I wont spoil anything, but its been a blast 😊

To clarify that ten hour ordeal is my second playthrough. To be honest I think I'm enjoying my second time around more than my first.

I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the statue of perfection is.
I have so much iridium now without ever going to the mines 😅
May I ask how do you find krobus and buy things from him?
@@marialim2273 you have to donate at least 80 items to the museum to get the key to the sewers, which is where krobus is

Totally amazing that you've gone from less than 1k subscribers to well over 100k in the past year. Way to go, Lilyy!
Thank you I got my first sprinkler yesterday and was confused about it and this helped so much
I usually just buy most my iridium sprinklers from Krobus since they can be quiet expensive to craft in the beginning.

I use them for flowers, for honey farming, it gets the job done perfectly.

My first farm was the beach one too. I got the prismatic shard on a random drop, made my first million on it too. 🤷♀️ never used any sprinklers
I think I only use the sprinkler early for trellis crops but the quality sprinkler is just way better for trellis crops

Kinda sucks we can’t use both upgrades at once, but it makes sense. We can either choose to automate our level of quality or level of quantity
Lol she said so close to 1K subs. So happy for you(:
100 golden walnuts!?!?! That's crazy! I better get to grinding
Usually I only make two of the first Sprinklers and use them for the important crops just in case I forget to go out and water them.
I need that Auto farm ASAP !!!! 🌸

I’ll get over it and keep playing eventually… but this broke my heart guys 🥹
how'd it go?
cant you just break one of the crops in the middle and replace it with a sprinkler?
Regular sprinklers are good in modded, either cause they cover more area, or you can purchase them in SVE…fishing cash is op XD
Thx for the guide but i notice something that nobody see it on the 0:27
Thank you so much I learned so many things from you
This video is so useful but one thing that I wanted to know and I didnt foun is if you can combinate de enricher and the pressure nozle.
What about use deluxe retaining soil in green house?

I have 16000 hours on stardew 😅 is there any way to see what the sprinklers cover? Like, can it show you or can that not happen
I’m farming level 6 but I haven’t unlocked the quality sprinkler. Anyone know why?
How do you see sprinkler range on console?
where you find this new updates ??
I got iridium sprinkler at summer yr1 lol idk if that a good time to get it
Can any sprinklers be used on the beach in any way
how does the sprinkler activated? is it automatic ?
I think so

how to remove the enricher?
Couldn’t you just use deluxe retaining soil in the greenhouse so you don’t have to use sprinklers at all?
