To me he perpetually looks younger than he is. I cannot believe he is 40. he looks like he’s in his 20s still. It might be his personality as well he’s very youthful and sweet.
I just met him at a screening here in LA. For his new movie called The Good Nurse. He was great in it. Very nice guy. Loves to talk to people. Not shy. Smart too.
I adore him and his portrayal of Newt has been a great consolation as a diagnosed autistic. So listening to him telling the story about the case and how now he can go back to using it as if he won't be portraying the character anymore actually made me very sad... it's hard for us to identify with characters or even have good, heroic representation. And then, when we do, stuff happens...
YES!!!! i’m also autistic and i adore his portrayal of newt and relate to him so heavily!! also even though i hate the idea of not seeing newt on the big screen again, i feel like it’s for the best with that series… it was going downhill and i’d rather watch his most powerful portrayals than rowling screwing up his character 😂

Knowing Newt was autistic helped me through my diagnostic process and made me feel like it would be okay if/when I was diagnosed, so while I understand why people chose not to watch the films and why there’s currently no plans for the fourth film, it makes me sad all the same.

Eddie I am so with you. I love my apple watch but I have always been in love with my classic old school watches. I love the sound of the needle ticking and so I totally understand the satisfaction you feel when you turn that dial and the sound that comes with it. I also am sensitive to weight and my classic watch is lighter than my apple watch and I think cause I type a lot for my work I can feel the difference. So as a watch connoisseur I really loved that part when you talked about your watch.
Redmayne is CLASSY, down to earth & just gets better with "age." If anyone wants a too, too sharp contrast with ultimate pompousness, watch Pierce Brosnan's insufferable British GQ essentials. I couldn't get thru it.
Eddie is almost regal in how he carries himself and his interests..I almost find it surprising that he refers to himself simply as “Eddie”, which seems almost pedestrian in comparison to the way he is 😄
