Love how this channel does not just course vlog and focus on the score but instead the beauty of the course in a cinematic way. One of the best golfing channels on TH-cam which truly shows the beauty of golf
I was caddying on the day you played. I seen you bomb one up the middle on the first as I was on the 9th green. Hope you enjoyed your experience of RCD
Hey Erik, as someone who played a little college golf and got a bit disenchanted with the whole golf world and took a few years off, I really appreciate your style of videos and outlook. You definitely had a big part in me getting back into the game full on. I love the style of your videos and your alternative take of the golfing world. Thanks, man! Keep making the videos!
Totally agree with this. I'm a former high school golfer and single digit and took 3 years off due to starting a business and not enjoying the game as much. These videos brought me back!
sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my login password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Jayson Ares Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Just finished ep 236 of the podcast, and two years later, re-watching this video takes a whole new meaning, to your content, to golf in my own mind. To the world as we see it, through our lens. Beautiful sir, simply beautiful.
Beautiful. Love the appreciation you guys always show for the moment. That cinematography is top notch as usual, and makes me feel like I'm back in the Isles.
Scheduled to play there this summer. Can't imagine it's better than Old Head. Old Head is truly magnificent. Until I play it I'll believe that it's at most the second best course in Ireland.
5:22 "If you don't love a blind second shot, perhaps you don't love life itself" - philosophic poetry gold and what a great attitude to life! I made three eagles after blind second shots myself, so yes, I do love blind shots :)
Played it in 2001.....squalling all day with about 25 Knots of wind, about 5 degrees centigrade...bought rain pants in the shop....I was one of about 5 people on the course, went to the starters hutt to pay and the lady behind the counter said in a broad NI accent with a wry smile.....”ah you’ll get to see her at her best today”....took out my trusty 3 wood and smashed it up #1, why not another, followed by a blind 9 iron into the centre of the green, lipped out for birdie......after taking my time and plotting my way around tapped in for 78.....I have been fortunate enough to play most of the Open Courses, and many of the other classic links and County Down is as good as any of them, in a setting that can be equaled by few......for a golfer there are very few things that can match the feel of crisply struck irons from genuine tight links turf coming of a forged blade (my weapon of choice for this trip was a set of Hogan Apex the last of the genuine Hogan’s before Callaway got their hands on Hogan)......oh to be in my early 30s again........great memories........
the sound of the ice-cream van in the back round 5:12s, must be the same tune every ice-cream van has in northern ireland love it!!! if your from NI you will know what I mean!!
I love the Lahinch comment, I am from Clare and played the championship course multiple times. The 4th and 5th holes there are spectacular. I now have the pleasure of living in San Diego and playing the South Course of Torrey a few times a year. You ever want to play, hit me up.
Took a walk around that course a few years back, was as the hotel for a friends wedding. REALLY wish I had the possibility to play! Looks freaking lovely!
Great video! Royal County was the best experience I’ve had on a golf course. One tip if you go: EAL was not exaggerating about all the blind shots. Get a caddie they’re well worth it! Plus the caddies at RCD are incredibly funny and great company
I remember your posts at the time and was worried it was Royal Dornoch all over again. I only live a few miles away but have never played the course. Hopefully I'll see you around if you ever come back.
I played Siloth Golf Club Cumbria in UK it's links and listening to the Pro talking about his Dogs, I experienced this at Siloth after Tea Time I walked across to look at the course and to my surprise a guy teeing off with a sheep dog lying down on the Tee soon as the guy hit his ball the dog ran after it and lied down besides the ball all the way around but when he got to the green it sat at the side off the green, unbelievable you have got to love golf.
Small editing mistake with the Royal Belfast GC logo near the end of the video. RCD is a breathtaking place, both courses are beautiful. Play them both. The championship course is tough, especially the 1st time around. Many don't enjoy the blind shots so I recommend playing it at least twice in a short period of time. Go play Ardglass as well when your there, Northern Ireland's pebble beach.
Hey Eric, such a great video as always! Would really dig to see a video with you and Karl Vilips (WAGR #18!!!), both ambassadors of taylormade and content creators for youtube! Cheers!
Use guys have to come and play in Kilkeel, the course is a 10 minute drive from royal County Down, it’s a fantastic park land course and the British Pro Am qualifiers are held
Golf in Ireland is spectacular. I have never enjoyed golf more than my time at Royal County Down...including Pebble Beach. With all due respect...this video...any video... cannot do this course justice. It's just "different" than the rest. Do yourself a favor and experience RCD.
Love how this channel does not just course vlog and focus on the score but instead the beauty of the course in a cinematic way.

@Jayson Ares it worked and I now got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my ass!
Masterpiece again. Stop the onslaught of goosebumps. This is TH-cam. I’m not used to seeing content this good.
That swing on 2 is maybe the best I have seen you make. Especially after that sermon on blind fairways.
I don't live far away from this course...maybe some day! 🙏Beautiful cinematography, content & golf course. Love it Erik. ❤️👏👏👏
Just finished ep 236 of the podcast, and two years later, re-watching this video takes a whole new meaning, to your content, to golf in my own mind. To the world as we see it, through our lens. Beautiful sir, simply beautiful.
Man, E, are you guys ever on time? Lol
I was fortunate enough to play there and I would say it may be the most beautiful course I’ve ever seen. Views are amazing.
Prettiest looking golf video I think I’ve seen. Thanks for taking the time to knock it together so well
love seeing the progression of his swing through his videos
I know it's one of the greats, but still love seeing Erik get super excited to play new courses even though he's been at the world's best.
beautifully produced and the same lovely "feel" of the Scottish tour videos, awesome
Classic Golf Course, stunning mountain scenery, the ocean and playing golf with a beautiful woman, Mr Lang I have no idea how you cope!
One of the best edited videos in a while, so good! Great to have a video featuring Alex, as well.
This may be the best golf vlog ever...keep up the good work.
Hooray! More Alex!
Beautiful. Love the appreciation you guys always show for the moment. That cinematography is top notch as usual, and makes me feel like I'm back in the Isles.
New viewer here. Really enjoying the quality, humor and skill displayed in these videos. Thank you!
It is the greatest golf course I've ever played. If I only had one course to play for the rest of my life it would be this one,
And why would there be two thumbs down...? Haters steer clear you fools! Absolutely stunning course!
That's a bucket list course.
This course looks like a true Gem. Man I gotta get out to Ireland and get some stick time in. Great episode as always 👌
@CMB 🤫

Haha same! Lahinch is a great joy with the blind shots.
I remember 2 great blind shots at Old Mac in Bandon. Like discovering a hidden treasure.
Im gonna say it... its the best golfing channel, cant argue!

Beautiful golf course, great video! What a coincidence that your best videos are the ones you do with Alex ... :-)
Erik's Q and Alexandra's Datejust... ohhh my
the sound of the ice-cream van in the back round 5:12s, must be the same tune every ice-cream van has in northern ireland love it!!! if your from NI you will know what I mean!!
Your videos inspire me to want to be better..I love golf, but you make me love the game
Beautiful
What an amazing looking course. Know a few people who have played it, and raved about it. Can see why. Get on the list, RCD!
Love the camera work !! 👌👌❤🏴
Last time I looked at subscriber count it was like 30 or 35k. Congrats on 80K+!
Love these kinds of videos. Keep it up, man!
Awesome vid Erik, great to see and hear more from the gorgeous Alex too 👍
happy new year. great video & wonderful camera work. Thanks

You ever want to play, hit me up.
The fizz of them two 4 iron shots near the start of the video might be the best sounding golf shots I've ever heard
Took a walk around that course a few years back, was as the hotel for a friends wedding. REALLY wish I had the possibility to play! Looks freaking lovely!
That trajectory at 0:30 :)
Stunning shot by Alex at 9.48
Great video! Royal County was the best experience I’ve had on a golf course. One tip if you go: EAL was not exaggerating about all the blind shots. Get a caddie they’re well worth it! Plus the caddies at RCD are incredibly funny and great company
Great video Erik. No biggie but at 11:58 you are at Royal Belfast GC not Royal County Down. Once again thanks for a great video!
the putt reaction at 9:05, man I felt that
Newcastle is an amazing town too. This is the nearest golf course to me lol.
Alexandra's fairway wood draw at 9.47👌#BucketListGolf
A keeper. What a swing. Obviously talking about Alex.
I remember your posts at the time and was worried it was Royal Dornoch all over again. I only live a few miles away but have never played the course. Hopefully I'll see you around if you ever come back.
Power move with that Timex, I’m chuffed to bits
Great traveler he is
Love the video. Is there a reason Royal Portrush GC is shown at 11:51?
they both seem to swing their club, stop, then continue with the swing just to hold & pose their follow through! A real coached idea! adorable 😄
Happy New Year Eric ;)
Looking forward to another year of random golf
2 Awesome golf swings 😎🤘🏌️⛳️
Looks like a great challenging course!! Great golf vlog Erik!!
Great course, played there in ‘08 and we are going again next year. Did you hit off the Lady’s tee on 2? 🤔
I think the views always go up with Alexandra in the videos!
Are you there now? Jan 2020? weather looks great, must put this on the never ending bucket list
This was in July I think. Before the open.
lucky you guys got nice weather too
I played Siloth Golf Club Cumbria in UK it's links and listening to the Pro talking about his Dogs, I experienced this at Siloth after Tea Time I walked across to look at the course and to my surprise a guy teeing off with a sheep dog lying down on the Tee soon as the guy hit his ball the dog ran after it and lied down besides the ball all the way around but when he got to the green it sat at the side off the green, unbelievable you have got to love golf.

best golf channel by far!!!!!!
Just played two rounds at RCD - amazing.
Thanks Erik
You must come play in the garden route in South Africa.i promise you won’t regret it.there are some of the nicest courses you’ll ever see
happy friday everyone!
What else can you say but WOW!
Amazing as always!
It’s a great course and there are great walks nearby up the Mournes or the local beaches. Also try Royal Portrush which is equally as good.
The showers in the club house are even better than the course believe it or not. Was a different level.
" I can't even read a yardage book to be honest with you " , I nearly spit out my drink haha great stuff
Hey Eric, such a great video as always! Would really dig to see a video with you and Karl Vilips (WAGR #18!!!), both ambassadors of taylormade and content creators for youtube! Cheers!
This is a special place. Best first 13 holes in golf surely!
Who shows up 7 min before there tee time to a course like that range? Putting green? Change into shoes and golf clothes?
Snickers ZN the kind of people who get to play these amazing courses for a living
That masters gt is so sick and classic erik!
Use guys have to come and play in Kilkeel, the course is a 10 minute drive from royal County Down, it’s a fantastic park land course and the British Pro Am qualifiers are held
Stunning. That is all!
Such a great video
That sound at 7:29 is beautiful
what a fantastic video
Hey Eric u should try and play Ballybunnion its one of the most beautiful courses I have ever played
Love the content Erik!!!!
Front 9 at RCD is the greatest 9 in golf. Period.
Does anybody know the song at the very end of the video?
Hey man if your still in Ireland you should travel south and give dromoland Castle course a play 🇮🇪🏰😊
This dude really has the life
When was this shot? Northern Ireland in a t shirt in January is unheard of. Firm fairways? Was this shot around the time of British open?
No way, there's people on the beach
Not gonna lie. He’s got a pretty pure swing
So did you like playing it? What did you score?
Rare sighting of Alex!
I virtually have no talent and don’t golf but I do want a job working for you!
great course
Alexandra - wow.
“As you walk down the fairway of life, you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round.” - Ben Hogan
MindOverGolf infinity is a long time, each experience is unique, but thinking there is only one life is a bit foolish.
I love Hogan. His quote is false.
Steve Fowler smelling the flowers was Walter Hagen.
Chris Mayor yes!
@@chrismayor2612Changing my profile name to, DirtyMindOverGolf
I have a golf dog who has walked Turnberry, troon, western gailes, old Prestwick Carnoustie , St Andrews and Royal Dornoch
so good
what power cart are they using here?
Royal County Down is truly one of the best if not best in the world… with wind blowing it is the hardest
How come you didn’t you have a caddy I thought it was compulsory .it was when I was growing up there just asking
Golf in Ireland is spectacular. I have never enjoyed golf more than my time at Royal County Down...including Pebble Beach. With all due respect...this video...any video... cannot do this course justice. It's just "different" than the rest. Do yourself a favor and experience RCD.
