Never played these games but I'm in love with the "e" dimension that Mega Man is walking around in. Looks like it was made in wordart, I adore it
That's the internet, and in BN1 all of the internet looks like that. It gets more thematic and advanced looking with every game.
Yai's webpage will make you laugh
That's the internet, and it really was revolutionary for its time the way the internet looks like.
@@pokelogikx I'm putting this on my steam wishlist now purely because of the "e" dimension I genuinely cant wait
@@antnuh765 Well, you'll be loving the collection for far more than just the "e" dimension. In fact, the first game isn't even that good. You will love the rest of them, though.
Bought this day one. I'll never pass up a chance to net battle with the boys.
When i say ive been waiting yeeeaarssss for this collection. I started with mmbn2 and ill play the rest in order. I skipped one specifically because of the issues u talked about but ill go back to it manye after i finish 6. The nostalgia is reeeaalll 🙌🏾
If you don't want to skip the story of any of the games the Mega Buster damage bonus makes Battle Network 1&2 less of a slog. Grew up with these games and the anime series, glad to have em all in one place again.
loved these games played all of them
The buster in the first game is practically insane, especially if you invest in charge and power early. (You can practically ignore rapid) Your chip deck becomes less important over time due to your raw buster power.
The only downside of the first game was it doesn't have maps....oh yeah escape button too.
@@NetBattler yeah, an escape battle chip.
If i had to guess the 8 and 16 values for half and full charge damage are probably because they are powers of two (2^3, 2^4) aka how binary scales so it fits with the whole digital thematic of the game. Thanks for the video!
That would make sense, interesting that most auras in the game max out at 80, too
I hope sales are great
And it motivates them to release a new one on switch
Maybe similarly to the new pokemon game worlds
Just without Pokemon Violet and Scarlets, bugs and poor visuals and lack of polish
Would be absolutely amazing, 100% sure it wont happen tho
I'd love to see it, wish Capcom would do more with Mega Man in general
Now Capcom needs to make a new Battle Network game
I wouldnt be surprised if this collection was helping with a new entry's budget, or at least some sort of megaman title. Maybe a new series that are the best parts of battle network and star force
BN1 just feels like a proof-of-concept... Keep in mind I don't hate the game, this was a literally the first game I ever owned a my very first handheld the GBA so I hold very fond memories of it... BUUUUUT the games that come after are so much better to play through... Thankfully you only have to beat BN1, then go to continue to actually beat the secret bosses that unlock after you beat the game, complete any of the side missions like finding the old man's dentures, and finishing up your library and you're basically done with that game.... Pretty easy and straightforward to 100% the game.... The other games however require a lot more, with some of them requiring you to beat the game multiple times on BOTH versions for that 100% completion rating.... Something needless to say the Platinum is truly going to be quite brutal to get probably about 500+ hours or more.
You forgot to mention the absurdly low chip drop rate on BN 1. I swear it felt like I got zenny more often than getting a chip, and it was usually a chip I already had.
I would love to see an update that has options for the OSS and Double Team DS upgrades to be honest, though I don't think it will ever happen
I wish they would have added 4.5 Operation and Battle Chip Challenge.
Same tbh
This should have been all 6 (10 as capcom says) games as one collection for $40 or less. The ranked online deserves half ($20) if it is treated right. More, funded by some non comp method, if they are serious and the community is too.
I disagree, before this was released i was going around buying mmbn game’s recently for the GBA and couldnt find one for less that $50+ id say having all of them for 60 is a steal, especially considering the pvp online option now
I think $10 per game ($6 if you count the different versions) plus the bonus features and online multiplayer is worth it, but that's in the eye of the beholder I suppose
So does every pre order have the customs skin? Cause i pre ordered mine and it wasnt includes :/
Looks like if you pre-ordered digitally it should be included and if you bought physically there's a code in the case or something
I need help… I’m at a part where I have to wait for mayl but I wait and nothing happens
I’m not sure if I messed up on something or that I’m not supposed to take her code to access her network in the beginning after you fight flameman
After you talk to Roll in Mayl’s PC I think you have to enter the station and then leave which should trigger her to show up
My complaints. The collection has been split into volumes.
The grammer errors.
No QOL improvements for BN1 what they did for operate shooting star.
All fair points!
That's why buster MAX mode is extremely helpful for the mess that is BN1
I think these would have been nice to be included, much like with Double Team DS but they did make it pretty clear these were the original GBA ports of the games
Why does it being split matter tho? The volumes are both still on one game
@@dmani8791 bruh. A collection is one thing. Not split between two volumes.
I'm playing battle network one first and am having a good time, but the chip economy and resources for learning the ins and outs of it it is... Sparse, which is kind if frustrating because I'm trying to build a sword deck and it's all over the place chip code wise outside of having my major sword chips as s chips so I can use a progress advance. Area steal right now is the big issue with cohesion and I hope guides for chip grinding get made soon
The good news is since the game's 20+ years old there's probably a guide somewhere that shows where to get each chip in BN1. Could always try your hand at trading with people online too!
@@CobraCodex Sadly I'm locked out of online trades, I don't really play games online so I don't pay for an online subscription. Which also means I'm locked out if BN6's Boktai chips as well, so if they're mandatory to collect for post game could be more of a hindrance.
On the respect of guides, I may fall back on them for specific chips and just use buster max, but i really could use some clue on what affects busting rank. I grinded 30 metguard A chips and every so often I would get rank 8 instead of 6 despite not changing my pattern of waiting 3 custom screens before deleating the mattaurs, only thing i can figure was no damage plus the use of elecsword was causing it, but I don't know the specific why. I had no trouble getting consistent rank 6/7's on mattaurs that i could hit with shockwave but even then every now and again the rank would just be 8 for no good reason.
Honestly if anything I'll just grind worthless chips I wont use and hit up the in game chip trader
@@supersayainasriel6745 the factors for busting rank across all games are basically the same:
- number of times you get hit
- number of spaces you move
- number of attacks you do
- having multiple deletions in one move
- and the time it takes to win
So if you moved less or killed two mets at once it could bump your rank up those two points
@@LilyKazami That actually explains why elecsword always gave me a rank or two higher because it takes them out in one move, and i have to dodge less, where the ones i can get with shokwave more consistently hit the sweetspot I was aiming for. Thank you. I don't think I'll ever grind fir metguard a chips, but this will help in grinding for specific rank sweetspots
@@supersayainasriel6745 By the time you start BN2 and onwards your Slaughter everything on Sight due to more versatile chips in later game…
For $60 you can't even play the game in full screen.
Enjoy this ugly border on your screen without even having the option for black bars.
I refunded and moved on.
Cool
@@CobraCodex I wasn't speaking negatively about your video or content.
I just felt the game itself was disappointing.
No need to act condescending.
Refunding a classic because of some borders. Pathetic af. Be a MAN and tough through those borders you whining baby
@@Ribcuthe wasn't being condescending. Just typing the word "cool" means nothing. Stop being such a snowflake. Lol
@@coreymckee4844 Yea responding with a single word, especially that one, is in fact condescending.
Being quick to defend yourself and not put up with people trying to give you an attitude is pretty much the opposite of a snowflake.
I made several valid points, and his entire super articulate enlightened response was the word "cool" and didn't address anything I said.
Bro ngl, for someone who “anticipated the game because of how the collections of been released.” Or whatever and is having fun with it.
You sound SUUUUUPER bored with it and what we got with this collection. 😐
Mega Man can acknowledge when it's late and when it's morning.
