In the story line it made us think that the dragon clan was rebel to serpent and that serpent is the real og clan and dragon was juat derived out of it when it literally was the opposite. At the path of both kenji's journey path it was also shown. Kenji (Dragon Clan) - did what tarrant did with the orb at the beginning and the faith to thr dragon was restored. Kenji (Serpent Clan) - said the dragon was only a myth. They have nothing to rely on but themselves. It remained consistent throughout the entire story line. Kenji of this ending believe in the orb and the orb and the dragon are one it is the faith that gives it power so.... It just cinverges regardless. He doesn't believe in the dragon and so the dragon doesn't exist in this path.

Dragon needed their ultimate to be weak since their lower-tier units are badass enough already. (Kabuki Warriors with firecrackers plus Dragon Warriors or Samurai is already a solid combo.)
Sameeee, worst disappointment of my childhood. On my 2nd run I even thought that Necromancer will be the same shit, but thank god they gave it for free in the campaign.
Technically, the main focus is on Dragon steamrolling without a brain. He gives an attack buff when combined with Kenji and can deal an insane amount of damage. Also, stamina regenerates during combat allowing the Dragon units which consume high stamina-usage to activate the skill more frequently or last longer. (Samurai Yang blade with Otomo gains Yang point advantage which no brainer) So they kill Otomo to balance the campaign difficult.
There's interesting cutscene in mission 2 if you choose the right side instead of this one (left side). Kenji ordered Otomo to stripped the dead soldiers clothes so they can use it as a disguise
I'm so disappointed that you won't be able to get all dragon clan heroes in the dragon campaign, unlike in the serpent path. Even more disappointing is that you won't be able to summon a hero from the dragon monument, and you'll even lose Otomo before Serpentholm 2 because Shinja will execute him. It's only a bonus that you'll get a hero from the other clans like Gaihla from the Wolf, or Soban from the Lotus but they're actually the weakest heroes of their clans. I was really hoping that I could make a strong dragon clan lineup.
In dragon path you get Garrin/Ara Kazan Gaihla/Soban Tao(ninja when you select does path) You get total of 5 zen heros including kenji then 6 ninja with tao on battle field.
This is a good game but not very well known I have finished Kenji's journey many times since i was elementary school 1 think that i like the most is when the last scene of serpent route, kenji can't kill the nighthole because he is dark too
Loved this game I got it as a combo pack as a present from mu uncle that came with this robin hood legend of sherwood and a fantasy game that had knights against demons against the undead really wish I knew what that game is too if anybody else had the combo pack lmk
It is worth buying, I got mine from steam. I just finished the Zen Edition Kenjis Joirney Dragons Path. Its hard actually, the AI is more aggressive when you try to attack their watchtower. Dragon Monument are using 3 Yang and 4 Dragon Warriors instead of 4 Samurais. The devs also nerfs Kabuki Warrior skill. But the graphics is good. You can notice the difference between WOTF and Zen Edition. Its worth it.
i play this on a fast movement. ihate normal hehehe.. ill finish both kenji & grayback journey when i was a dragon i choose path arah. easy target and i love playing samurai w/ young blade no healer hahaha
I only use that tactic if these units are meant to cause as scouts and deal damage as much as possible before they die. If my economy can support it, I'll continously send raiding bands to weaken the enemy. Then add healers later.
Archer bands are potent. When sieging add 1-4 demolisher units to your army ---sumo or chemist with star rockets. Have more archers than melee units in roaming parties. Use peasant or speedy units to lure enemies to your range units. Monks are good tanky baits. Build wtowers early. Put Archer in Wtowers that are on the edge of your base. Sumo / chemist to towers near the middle. Oh yeah build towers in crescent formation. Build well near towers as diversion or quick source of water for putting out fires. If possible build a tower near enemy base specially if your shooter can hit rice region. Defend your wtowers and of course add well if no other water source nearby. Use a squad of speedy units to reach rice farm and create havoc there. Force enemy units to fight there. The fighting might ruin the rice fields and cripple the economy. Just some tactics I used. Of course you need to develop good skills and judge the situation wisely. Assign units to demolish wtowers near rice fields while other units battle.
I was stressing out man. You won't even train the peasants to build a stronger army. You can mix their training so that you can get a Samurai. You can also.arrange them by group.by prssing shift the any number so that you can just press one button to summon your group. Anyway thanks for the upload. This was my favourite game growing up.
Kabuki resist cutting, which helps against early rushes, and their magic damage beat Ronin, Samurai and Berserkers later. Plus Flash Powder is awesome.

Are you sure about that? I once held back 2 big attacks simultaneouly from 2 different clan with not so many army and 2 dragon meteors.

There is a glitch in dragon clan. If you choose Ninja instead of monks. You got monks instead of ninja. In next levels.
Mine is in the serpent clan, I chose ninja but monks appear in my keep in the next level

Why are u choose to use kabuki warrior? Isnt he a deal magic damage too?
He can use Flashpowder who very effective with archer army and cpu enemy.
