    Hey everyone!! In this video I wanted to show several different styles of water filters and what they filter. As always, if you have any questions please comment below. Have a great weekend! amzn.to/2JYKLW8

    Thank you for showing how to set up the hose, obviously easy but mine didn’t come with the black piece already on and I was so confused, really helpful

    This looks great but isn't there a risk of contaminating the tube? Like if the bladder is dripping wet because you dunked it in the water source, won't that get onto the tube and into your water bottle? Just wondering how that's prevented.

    I like the idea behind this filter but i hate the fact that the kit you show is almost if not over $100. Thats a bit much when i can get a versa flow and 1/2 gallon bags for $25

    Can you do a video when water isn't readily available and try out some condensation techniques - to find out which one is better, and how much water each can gather. I have never had to try it out myself, but still curious how efficient it would be.

    Awesome as always Ben thank you! I actually use the 1L version of this. And also have the camp pro 6 litre if I'm doing multidays.. Great weekend buddy!

    I love the befree series of filters. They are a great value and work well. I used mine on a 70 mile Solo backpacking trip.

    I’d like to see how and if it quick connect attaches to camel back systems or Similar. I don’t want to remove my water bladder from my hunting pack and want a system that will transfer clean water into my camel back while it remains in my pack via the drinking hose.

    Ben, excellent video. It's not always about knives and lights. Clean, potable water is what will keep you alive. Very informative! Thank you.

    I 3D printed an adapter for the katadyn so that it fits on a regular water bottle. Yell if you need one.

    What an excellent demo and review. I think this is going to make my hiker pro obsolete. Thanks for sharing Ben. Cheers

    Can water be "squeezed" out if you don't want to use the hose system?

    This is a great video, thank u for sharing!! Im currently looking different filter options for camping, so this was very helpful. Have some straw filters for packs, but i love the ready water availability of a gravity system. We sell this at REI, so perhaps i will use my discount to pick it up for my next trip.

    I just used the Grayl Geopress on the AT. Never had a worry. I'm back home now and didn't get sick at all. I'm not going back to another filter. You can use the Grayl to fill your canteens as well as to carry water. And to top it all off, the Geopress is light

    Ben - did you have any issues with a horrible plastic taste? Any idea how to fix it?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      We boiled water mostly but did fill our water bottles and only noticed a slight plastic taste.

      @@livingsurvival Thanks. I'm going to try the lemon water freezer trick and see if that helps. It's just about unusable for me it's so bad.

    Thanks for the review. I have this bottle, but I'm gonna check and see if I can buy that hose separately.

      I’ve had it over a year. They may only ship it with the pop top now.

    If I’m from Flint which should I use?

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nick M carbon filters can help but for really elevated levels of lead a reverse osmosis or filter specifically built for lead would be best. Definitely a specific situation there in Flint.

    I will stick to the grayl … I think its the best one out there.

    • @livingsurvival
      @livingsurvival  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      definitely filters everything but for a camping trip or backpacking trip there are lighter options when filtering viruses isn't necessary.
