When I was on the Crown Princess, an older ship, it was at capacity passenger-wise. But I was never crowded or hurried or out of places to just find and chill, or read a book. The cafe Caribe' in the aft section seemed to be the least travelled spot on the entire ship. And what an amazing view.
@@flydriveexplore I would love to see that. I lived there for years there. A winter cruise in Galveston would be a good escape from England's cold. Summer is hot, hot, hot 🥵🔥.
Thanks for my shoutout too - it made my mum’s day! I’ve been waiting for the GoPro mic adapter to arrive but you’ve motivated me to press on ahead using my iPhone instead…
im going on the legend soon! thanks for posting this video. you asked if the older ships are always quieter like that-no, i fully believe it was due to your specific itinerary. the ships leaving from american ports will be much more crowded and loud. that cruise you went on would require travel by plane for the large majority of carnivals usual american passengers so you had a great experience without all the noise and nonsense!!
It was a nice size ship. It was fully booked but you could still get a table in the bars and you didn't have to turn up to the theatre really early to get a seat.
Great video - loved Mel’s remarks about FUN you 2 remind me of myself and my husband 😂 he makes the same remarks about Americans/avoids fun 🤦♀️ Have fun guys 😂😊
Hi Marcus I see you tried the old house there's another pub around the corner of the old house the other pub you should go and try is the corner house the food is also outstanding I have been there and I think the corner house is just as good as the old house.
Hi Marcus awesome live video cruise. I enjoyed it. How are you doing? I'm doing well and so is my cat Benjamin. We have beautiful weather in Ontario Canada. How is the weather where you are? Have a great weekend. We're celebrating Canada Days birthday July the first. With lots of fireworks tonight 😊
Ship looks good. Bathroom looks the same as Aurora, just not peach. It looks fresher. I like the cabins that are low down. Watching the waves while you’re sailing is mesmerising.
Marcus, next time you go on a cruise, can you do me a favour? Please? Can you find out if there’s a Smoking area on your cruises? Love the videos keep it up. Thanks, Jeff.
Yes there are a few, I do a full tour in a later video. We don't smoke but you can outside on Deck 3 promenade, right side towards the front. Lido deck, outside pool on the front right side. Also , playing in Casino, smoking section.
My goodness. Carnival Legend! I was on that ship around 20 years ago! Can't remember if it was a med cruise or Carribbean. Amazing to see it again. I went to Iceland for a day (flying from Leeds Bradford to Keflavik early morning and returning late evening) many years ago. Very interesting experience like every known weather in one day! Snow, hail, rain, sun.....and the blue lagoon was great.
Awesome video Guys! Thanks for the Shoutout! You guys are the best! Hope to see you again
Cheers, it was good to meet you and good luck with the channel.
That ship just had dry dock in may. That stateroom is completely new.

Thanks for sharing 🛳️🛳️
I always get Riviera deck Ocean view cabin. Its awesome when you come in for a port day you only havw to walk up one floor to get back to your cabin.
Yes, that was really convenient.
Thank you so much for the video. I will be on the Legend next year from Galveston to Panama Canal. Thank you 😊 and y'all are a cute, fun couple 😊
Thanks, we had a great time on Carnival Legend. We hope to do a trip to Texas and try a cruise from Galveston in the next couple of years.

Great to hear! Look forward to seeing the videos.

I thought so. Have a good time on your cruise.
To us the new ships are like hotels on giant barges whereas the older ships are just that, proper ships.

Thanks, we both did enjoy but I'm still wary of "fun'.
Great vlog. The ship really reminds us of our Costa cruise
Thanks, it was a fun trip. Very different atmosphere to the UK based cruises we've been on. Mel wants to try a Costa cruise but I'm not too sure.
We just watched your Costa cruise and can see what you mean about the similarity.
@@flydriveexplore haha it’s going to be similar in that it’s not like a UK cruise. Thanks for watching
6 of us are on Legend this week... great video...
Have a good time 👍

Thanks, yes we intend to try the Corner House later this year.
Great video. Giggled at Mel looking for an American man to have fun with.
bet they are less miserable than Marcus!
@@Mel_FlyDriveExplore haha you wouldn’t change him though 😂😂😂
@@Mary_Rees oh I don’t know!
@@Mel_FlyDriveExplore😂😂😂
You're going to have to change the name of the channel to fly , drive , sail and explore.
Yep, I have bought the domain name FlyDriveCruiseExplore but I think we'll stick with FlyDriveExplore for now (Explore can cover everything else 👍)

Have a good time on 1st July. The weather is OK but not great.

@@carolr9301 Yes, we liked watching the waves and being low down. It was good later in the cruise when we had rougher weather.

The style of that ship does not appeal to me. Hope your cruise is great.
It wasn't too everyone's taste but we enjoyed.

We didn't know the ship before but for an old ship it was in pretty good shape. Yes, Iceland is an amazing country, this was our third visit.
Thanks for showing us around. We are looking forward to seeing how you guys get on with Carnival. I am also wary of anything labelled as 'fun'!
