That guy flew aaaall the fucking way to your heli spawn to camp there for 15 minutes straight. I feel like that shit should be a bit more protected with some AA to dispose of the unwanted spawncamping pest
@@juliandou4966 That's the funny thing. Gaijin initially had a killzone for it like the airfields in ground and air RB but I think like a patch later or an update later, they removed the Heli Base AA's damage so it practically became dead useless
@Hunt3rK3nw4y the reason because the helicopter fields were way to close on most maps so when a plane flew across the battle they would be shot at by the aa. So now it's just there to indicate when a plane comes close. The second air field has aa that works but it's much farther away from the battle.
Heli pads are too close to the battle field, their AA covers up to half the ground map in some cases, so to prevent planes from insta dying they rolled its effect back to Zero. Personally I'd just have made Heli's use the main air base with an Air (hover mode) spawn. Yeah it'll take them a few mins to get rearmed and refueled but it'd stop them reload camping the base as well.
I don't think I can remember having a single fun and/or productive game on that version of Al Alamein. Genuinely one of the worst maps in the game at any BR and I get it quite a lot.

That heli clip is the reason why Gaijin should add helipad AA back. However, I'd say make the helipad AA only shoot down enemies that are close to them for too long (Like if you're chilling near a helipad within a 2 or 3km radius for 1 minute the AA should be able to damage you).
