- The Wall Street Journal has reported that precision-guided and high-tech munitions provided by the U.S.-led West to Ukraine have been rendered 'useless' because of Russia's electronic warfare capabilities. Ukrainian commanders told the WSJ that some of these weapons had retired within weeks of hitting the battlefield. The report also cites an U.S. official as saying that the Russians are really getting good at jamming weapons. Watch for more details.

As Scott Ritter pointed out, the Russian army today is the most battle tested army in the world, and thats in modern high intensity warfare, they are an army built for war, top to bottom, a lean, mean killing machine. And they adapt very quickly to changes on the battlefield and to new weapons systems introduced by nato.
I've personally noticed during the conflict, when nato introduces a new missile for instance, the Russians figure out a way to counter it within a month or two, which would normally take someone else up to a year.

Putin does not want the large casualty counts for a "Total War" like WWII battles with the weapons of the modern battlefield. Russia has air superiority which is rendering the Ukrainian Air Force useless. Patriot missiles have to have air cover or are vulnerable. F16s will need special bases and the Russians are taking out bases that could be used. Read a report that Ukraine will only have 20 pilots ready for F16 until 2025. Ukraine will probably not last that long.
