This is incredible. Lance is such an amazing person and trader. Thanks for bringing Dr. Johnathon forward and blessing the independent trading community with such a great interview.
Lost 14k over 2 days and basically gave up and quit yesterday. Broke all my rules. Was incapable of managing my emotions. (All of them) THEN I came across this amazing video. Thank you. Not giving up.
You shouldn’t be trading with size like this You are clearly not on that emotional level to handle such a loss Quit trying to get rich quickly Trade responsibly
NEVER give up mate. I have been trading for 11 years now, making very good income and found consistency but early in my trading journey I had lost 43K in 2 days and was ready to give up and quit ...but instead I pushed forward, learned from the mistake and the rest is history ..
The section on steps to deal with going on tilt was as good as I have ever heard. Makes total sense that stepping away from the screens does NO good if during that time your not working on steps and a game plan for dealing with the triggers that brought you to this emotional state. Also, dealing with it at a stage 2 as opposed to a stage 10 hit home. Thank you!
Thank u so much! I got one big takeaway from the performance enhancing side of the conversation that is when facing difficult times, like the learning of losses need to have the internal dialogue more of a support/emphatic coach to get through and in successful/euphoric victorious times (we know what that feeling is) need the hard challenging coach tu push me even forward on momentum on my most confident attitude. Thank you so much
This was an excellent conversation, and the first one I came to after discovering you on X. Thank you for bringing these key points from a professional trading performance psychologist and your valuable experience.
Thanks Lance can’t get enough of your videos recently. Took a lot of value from this interview especially the daily report card. Thank you for providing this content 👏🏽💯
Lance finding you on you tube has been a blessing to my trading journey! Right in the middle and not profitable yet, but getting close. I bought camtasia as you suggested and have been recording all my trades! Seeing significant improvement day by day thank you so much for all these videos you do! You are much appreciated!
Loved the point that "just taking the walk" without intention to get a grip of our emotions isn't enough. Thanks for a great interview and being vulnerable to share from your own personal journey.
If i can only say one thing, use some paper to remember to yourself the questions or something else instead of the smartphone, cause feels like you are not interested or distracted on the discussion when you look at it, it's my personal opinion, except for this little thing amazing video, your content is a perl for everyone full of key point on the topic and explained so clearly, can't wait to see more, thank you for your time Lance
Lance! This was a really powerful, open, authentic conversation about really important topics that we all need to pay attention to every day. Really appreciate you sharing this resource and this discussion with us all! So valuable! 🙏♥
That was SUPER helpful and interesting, I learned a lot about myself and my relationships and why things are the way they are, even in topics that I have not thought deeply about, but just hearing what I have been wondering about and thinking about being discussed is amazing! Thanks Lance
Great topic i enjoyed and related to the convo about having difficult convos. this is important for relationships and business. a hard path to go down coming from avoidance.
Lance, thank you so much for all the content you put out there i’ve learned so much from you. Just curious if you have ways to train your mental aspect like the way you do it recording your screen re-watching trades how do you train your mental aspect and does visualizing comes handy in those kind of things and how do you go about it. Thank you man.
Thank you for your ongoing willingness to give back and generously invest in the success of others, your generosity has significantly contributed to my growth as a trader, I am sincerely grateful for this
nice idea of interviewing guys related to trading. I would love if you interview BIGGER Traders on your show, I think you have a good reputation therefore BIGGER trader will agree to interview with you. Afterall, you are THE ONE LANCE!
Hi Lance, I don't know how to get connected with you. But a question and realization that has come to me in my trading is that all trade setups are essentially the same. Would love to hear your feedback.
loving the professional setting! i hope you do more of this as 99% of trading podcast is just paid furus paying greedy podcasters who provide them a platform for furus to sell their shit. a loop of furus helping furus
@@TheOneLanceBHi Lance, what's your philosophy on "power". With power being great responsibility it seems like being with the wrong people or sharing power with those that are not fit/only take advantage of power seems like a bad thing to do. how can i find trustworthy people to share power with? do i have to test them? or is there anyway to just find people who already understand the same concept? i'm in that stage of my career.
Great content, thanks! But there is actually is a correlation between subjective well being and net income. It just used to plateau at around 80k p.a. Inflation adjusted thats like 100k nowdays probably. Putting it in one sentence- being rich probably doesnt make you happy, being poor however can make you unhappy.
Hi lance, r there objective facts of trading systems that determine whether they are profitable or have an edge? I mean if one were to show u a paper of their trading setups and rules of entry and exit could u determine that its a failing or winning system? I've been trading for 5+ years in decline and no profitability with various different systems, so I thought I could be making critical **objective** errors of trading that are nullifying every system's edge
Lance, I'm struggling to understand the balance with trading. I've heard you talk about your daily routine when you were at the firm, and it was packed with something trading related most the day. Between market hours and review, you had very little time before bed for a hobby or relationships. I understand during the learning process this is very necessary. But does it ever become less while still operating at a high enough level to make a living at this? Does taking your foot off the gas result in possibly not being profitable? I ask because I've heard you say mediocre traders don’t make it. Sorry if this question seems loaded. Maybe you can clarify what you mean be mediocre trader. Thank you for your time.
There is a curve. Somewhere on that curve is the optimal amount of work vs play for peak performance. Where optimal is depends on the person, their goals, how currently driven and recovered they are, etc. there are times when you can push really hard, other times when you can chill. Also, generally during one’s career, most are willing to sacrifice some level of balance at the beginning that they’re not willing to do while older. That said, my guess is most people are not working enough as opposed to working too much and being burnt out IMO. Without a doubt mediocre traders don’t make it. You need to put in immense work to be great, but there is still a level where you can overdo it. I think that is the main point.
I don't even trade stocks, I trade people's first move. I grew up as a goalie and you are trained from day one that the first move is usually the wrong one. Read and react, live in the moment and if you have to think about it, you are late, like a blistering Slapshot, you can see it, then it gone lol.
Yeah the comparison Game is a trap lots of traders fall for. To me it is very childish ! We all have different skills and backgrounds and comparing yourself to somebody you don't really know that well is weird. We all have a different road to take and it is much better to focus on it. As always, thanks Lance and keep up this amazing free content.
This is incredible. Lance is such an amazing person and trader. Thanks for bringing Dr. Johnathon forward and blessing the independent trading community with such a great interview.
He’s not. Lance is very dumb. There’s zero chance you will become consistently profitable by listening to Lance.
Lost 14k over 2 days and basically gave up and quit yesterday. Broke all my rules. Was incapable of managing my emotions. (All of them) THEN I came across this amazing video. Thank you. Not giving up.
I am sorry to hear this. I have been there. Good luck!
