I make capoeira cords and the last one is exactly the way I make my cords even down to the square not at the end. I've made cords for people all around the world and the US. I think I want to start making key chains this way as well ..love your videos ...new subscriber
Very nice i made it all on the third one i improvise... i did a back splice after i finished the cross knot to secure the end...you have a very nice tools...
Hey Tim, great video. I've been tying monkey's fist key fobs for many years and have probably given away hundreds. Have you ever thought of using dice for the core? They work perfectly and you can get a really tight and symmetrical knot. Thanks again for the video, I hadn't thought of using the shake knot to finish off the key fob but I'm going to make a few to see how they look. keep up the good work...
I've made about 50 Monkey Fist using the 550 Paracord x 7 strand, SpeedyJig and 1" wood balls as a core. I was wondering if a Cube would make a better filler piece as compared to a ball? Using a 5/8" Dice, I made a 5 pass using 550 x 7 strand Paracord and it turned out ok, similar to the ball.
I like the red and green one! I like the extra length too. Could you show us how to make a simple belt? Maybe one using two rings and one using a buckle? I did make one using a prussik knot. (Not sure of the spelling...) I do like it, but I'm always looking for more projects!
I like the second and the third one most. Thank you for your videos! With them I have something to do while in quarantine. I like your videos also because you are speaking very clear, so it is easy to follow for me as a non native English speaker.
Hi Paracord of Eternity!!! Can you show TH-cam videos on how to do a bullet casing bracelet, cobra bracelet with charm, cobra knot camera strap, cobra knot super easy keychain and compass bracelet, dog collar, dog leash, elastic beaded bracelet, king cobra knot bracelet and paracord belt, paracord necklace single and double color??? All paracord videos!!! That will be great!!!
For your third and last knot in the video. Do you believe it's possible to change the monkey's fist into a two color mandala knot and still finish the same as the video shows?🙏🙏
Since my family is self quarantining/isolating (still can't figure out the right word) and I am going insane!!! I guess now is the time to see if I can finally learn a Monkey's Fist. I've only been trying off and on for three years lol
Do you have any videos for a 3-strand snake knot? I can't find anything that works for my situation. I've created a monkey fist and want to have a snake knot (3 colors) end with a key chain connection.
Hi Tim, I use Mikko Snellmans method of finishing a monkeys fist, with a diamond knot, where one of the two working ends is returned back down the centre of the diamond knot where it is cut off, and the end is sealed with a lighter. This leaves a loop on top of the diamond knot, leaving the other working end to be cut off level and sealed. Larger monkeys fists tied on polystyrene balls make wonderful Christmas tree baubles
Hey Robert, I've seen that method before. Does it work well with paracord? I think the other method to have a similar result would be to tie the monkey's fist with two terminal ends and have the mid point of the cord at the top.
@@TheWeaversofEternity Hey Tim it works a dream on Paracord, and looks really impressive on a two colour monkeys fist, thankyou so much for your reply. Cheers, Rob...
@@TheWeaversofEternityHow would you tie the monkey fist with 2 working ends? I've only ever seen it done with 1. I've tried but couldn't wrap my knot-noob head around it.
What kit would you recommend for a complete beginner to start with along with any essentials? I feel like this would be a better hobby to pick up instead of knitting during this quarantine period lol
Hey Junayed, I would suggest starting off simple. Don't get too many things unless you decide you really like the hobby. A really basic set of tools for paracording would be sharp scissors, a lighter, and a ruler or measuring tape. You can also get some plastic buckles too if you like. From there the next step up would be some fids, a knotter's tool / marlin spike, and maybe a jig, but that's for when you're really sure you'll be spending a lot of time with the hobby.
I don't know if you're still responding to comments, or not. Concerning the third key fob; when I go back from the key ring with the cross knots, they line up like you'd expect. However, in your video, you're return wraps twist around instead of going straight up. What am I doing wrong?
Hi David, I think I know what you're getting at. What's happening is that you're tying the box knot, while I'm tying the crown sinnet. I apologize for not showing this section as clearly as I could have, but here are two videos showing the difference between the two and perhaps that will give you a better idea of what's happening. I hope these help! Crown Sinnet: th-cam.com/video/a1WeWXGhtnI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Jn0g24_9Y3Iw563f Box Knot: th-cam.com/video/Gd3Vrsd3Wy4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZCYOmmdyfVMlLkwf
Leave as much as you would need for tying the key chain part, so it depends on what you want to do. If you have too much on one of the ends after the knot is tied, just cinch it through the knot from one end to the other.
Hello friend, I would like to know if you have any tutorial to make numbers with paracord, thank you very much Congratulations on your tutorials, I really like doing crafts with paracord, thanks for being there
You don't have to insert a core into the monkey's fist, but it does make the knot more round and solid. You can still tie a monkey's fist with no core, but it will be a little misshapen.
Ya know I did the finishing knot many many times and kept getting it wrong but I finally figured that someone doesn’t know his left from right hands…. Why don’t you just repost it with the CORRECT left/right??? Once I figured that out I nailed it. But just thought I’d save some the frustration and anguish.
One variant I've seen a lot is to simply tie a knot (thumb knot, figure-8) on the starting end of your monkey fist and put that in the center. It works well for these small 3-loop version.
I love the demos but you have the habit of covering the knots with your thumbs and it’s difficult to follow sometimes. Thank you for demos nonetheless.

Love the four strand braid with the crown knot finish Tim, Thankyou ✌❤
Yep, I saw one used as a drawer handle. It looked complex beyond belief and I always wanted to replicate it, so thanks muchly.
It's kinda nice what you can do once you know the basic knots and weaves.
Just mix and match your tools for awesome results. Love those tutorials.

I love how relaxing it's to watch, I'm trying those 3 asap
Snake knot.... all them are awesome. Well done tutorial. Thanks.
The red/green for sure. It also taught me an easy way to add a ring/clasp to the end of an existing project

Would a 5/8” inch marble work for a 3 pass monkey fist?
i did a cobra know but i didnt switch the sides and i got a twisted dna like knot, looks better in my opinion
Can you make a video for the Cobra Knot where you start at the Monkeys Fist and go to the ends of the remaining cord available?

I want to make one of these but with a handle that wraps around a spring. Like a blackjack. Does anyone know how to do this?
I have made my own monkey fish before they're pretty cool 😎And thank you for telling me how to
hello, is there a place where we can order this product for turkey?
What size marble do you use
They're so beautiful😍 p.s. I' m italian and I follow you😍😘❤ you're a pro😂😘😏

How would you make this so it had two braids on each side ?
Yo thanks for making my video request
You're welcome! Thanks for suggesting.
What part of the cord do you start with?
How much of a tail on the stationary end?
Leave as much as you would need for tying the key chain part, so it depends on what you want to do. If you have too much on one of the ends after the knot is tied, just cinch it through the knot from one end to the other.

Middle one, but longer!
Excellent mais difficile
Can anyone plz tell me what is the materal of this yarn 😐plz
paracord but i use shoelaces they work too
that's amazing
can you do prepare the face Mack helping ropes
Is there a way to end them and not see the cut ends
For these simple weaves, not really. With some projects you can tuck melted ends in certain places to hide them, but it really depends on the project.

Thanks fellas! Be safe and healthy to us all!
Would a normal size marble work for a 3 pass monkey
Hey Tim, yes most normal sized marbles should be about 3 passes.
Phasing only creates confusion not a cleaner video. I can't keep track of the cords if you keep adjusting without us seeing where you moved them too.
👏 👏 👏
👍 👍 👍
I think, you should blur out the knots in the thumbnail so more people will get intrigued. Great video, loved the cobra one
👍
Second Im early for the first time love the vids keep it up
