Girl keep your head high and yes bullying is real I experienced it aswell in my first few months of being here, and after a year I also changed jobs and specialties. Much happier and I thank God.
Talking about bulling, I am training here, while on placements, my shock is that it's the black nurses bulling new black nurses. African nurses with experience bulling new African nurses. The amount of support I've got while on placement hasn't come from African/black nurses, no no. And to note, my placements are in high ethnic areas eg Luton. I've got huge support from either white nurses or Indian nurses. Black nurses will even show you that they are not happy to work with you if paired with. There is this African nurse who I was recently paired with and she showed me that she wasn't happy to work with me as a student nurse. I was in shock. After they talk about racism! I really feel for overseas nurses especially from Africa.
I support this with my full chest. Walai I saw wiiii in the hands of african nurses the worst are the African HCA s they don't like seeing a young nurse atall.

I think it is a cultural thing for some nurses to bully new or minority nurses, I was a nurse for just six months in the US before it became clear to me that the nursing environment was not where I wanted to be. Luckily, I had other options and took a different job as a health and safety manager in a government agency (because I have multiple degrees).
@@robes4901 I have degree in Bioenvironmental engineering. But that is not the most important requirement to break into Environment Health and Safety career, certifications is what really helps. I have Associate Safety Professional and Certified Safety professional certifications from The American Board of Certified Safety Professional-There are other certifications as well.
