Tim is more than lucky it didn’t hit his arm!! That darn 2x4 could just as easily come over enough to have come through the windshield! Lucky boy.

Jered has a lot of natural talent. When you were talking about your Ytube suspension for letting Charlotte steer the combine when she was six, I was thinking that they would have an aneurysm if they saw what Jered was doing at six years old.

Now we know that the secret to keeping the actor that plays Andy in such beach-body shape is intermittent fasting throughout the day. Great tip! I do likewise, sometimes waiting five or six minutes between snacks.

Sometimes, watching these guys who have lunch delivered to the field I think of the old-time thresherman's meals my grandfather was a threshing contractor when my mother was growing up and I still remember him and my uncle talked about how all the ladies in the neighborhood would go and help at whichever farm the threshing machine was at on any particular day, and it was always kind of competition between the farm wives as to who could put on the best meal. Sometimes I think the way these guys are feeding the chopping contractors is a throwback to the thershermens meals from days gone by

I can just remember the "Big Mill' ie. thrashing machine coming to thrash the oats from the round stacks. About 14 people were needed to work the mill . A mid day meal was provided for all 14 in the farm kitchen.
The kitchen table was wound out and extra sections were slotted into it. A huge amount of potatoes pealed and boiled, a big pot of mince, (ground beef), was cooked and served with turnip. The first course was soup, usually vegetable broth and the 3rd course was custard and pears.
It took several days to thrash the number of stacks. The bags of grain which were, one or one and a half hundred weight, were carried up an outside ladder, without any hand rails, to a upper floor loft. Hard working folk then.

back in the late 70's early 80's when I was truck driving I Had 50 odd driver side mirrors get destroyed over a number of years by other trucks coming over into my side of the road.
I stopped truck driving in 83 mainly due to me losing my nerve. Back then a lot of drivers died cos of idiots being allowed to drive trucks when they shouldn't have been. Love the way you do the vid's

Best Bologna sandwiches I ever ate had black fingerprints from my hands. The old Farmall 400 steering wheels would leave your hands black! Was work to steer, eat a sandwich and run a loader stacking hay.

Hey Andy. The other video you mentioned you were going to start putting mobile radios into the equipment because the handhelds didn't have quite enough range. I would start putting in a few antennas and hooking them up to the handhelds just to see if the better antenna and placement would boost the range. You might also think about a repeater setup at the main farm if you could find something tall to mount it to. 😉
