JAPANESE "Wall Street" MOVIE PROGRAM • [ Oliver Stone / Stewart Copeland / Michael Douglas ] Book

Flipping through this cool piece of movie ephemera that I took back from a January 2023 trip to Japan, chosen as a souvenir based on my enjoyment of this Oliver Stone film (Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, Daryl Hanna) and because it features an original score by Stewart Copeland of The Police, who is mentioned inside the brochure a couple times. It's a movie program, not a promo book, actually... These are sold at Japanese theaters during the movie releases!

Correction: The advert on the back cover obviously shows CHARLIE Sheen, not MARTIN Sheen, although Martin is also in the film.

NOTE: A friend of mine in Japan has offered me a better explanation of what this booklet actual is:
"It might be more correct to call this a pamphlet or brochure, rather than a 'promo book.' This was offered for sale in movie theaters for around 300 to 500 yen in those days - during the movie's release. (Regular prices for current movie pamphlets are around 600 to 1,000 yen.) Comparing it to a concert, it's like a tour program. These exist for most movies released in Japan. We Japanese have never thought of these as unusual, but it actually appears that the movie pamphlet is unique to Japanese culture."
