Pipe casing.. looks like a connector for pipes. Flared end will stop it falling off.. then a jubilee or spring clip..

Showing the reality of the detecting game. Ten consecutive holes showing whatever I find so people know its not treasure in every hole
Do you double check a round signal?
I dig everything nearly regardless of whether it is round or not but double check? How do you mean
