    I bought one last year from stalham . It was part of a really nice air compressor set for 50 quid. Just sat outside the guys house with some mowers. No spark and I sold it as it was taking up space . Guy txt 2 days later to say it was running great and in his van for use as mobile air unit. Another regrettable sale really but u can't keep them all. Nice video as always

    It's a Sachs Stamo 30. Sachs (pronounced Saks) are renowned for two strokes most commonly alongside Dolmar for chainsaws and other garden power tools.

      was going to say the same as I used to work on Sachs Dolmar chainsaws and disc cutters

    Needs an expansion exhaust. Those Stamos are tuned quite hot. With a proper chamber they sound like a dirt bike. Especially the bigger Stamos (there is a 350cc variant).

    Carb looks a similar design to a 49cc Puch maxi moped.

    Reckon a can of brake clean with a straw may have preserved that brass filter and cleared the blockage. Had a lot of two strokes in my life and if you want your engines to last then I'd highly suggest 32:1 using a good quality two stroke oil. Cheers

    Just buy some fuel line if it's bad. Tighten that sentiment bowl up before you forget.
    Clean the whole carb. in the ultra sonic. And if the Carb. has needles, turn them in FIRST so you know how many turns to screw it in after cleaning!
    There's NO NEED to use that drill/brush on the bowel if your going to use the ultra sonic. If it has a main jet and an emulsion tube, remove them as well,
    otherwise, why clean the carb.!? You'll still have troubles with it running.
    ---
    Wishing detergent WILL NOT do the job! Get some Simply Green. At 25:27 NO! DON'T PUT OIL INSIDE A CARB.!! It should move freely if the carb. cleaned properly.

    If u Google bead threaders I found some of them were fine enough for tiny jets.

    Das war ein poppen und bangen motoren mit blauen auspuftgas!
    Now all you need is a strimmer to put it on - or eine kleine chainsaw!
    Kraftstoff = fuel
    Einstellen = starting
    Abstellen = stopping
    Zundekurz = sparkplug
    At least, for all intents and purposes.
    Just for fun; Sauerstoff = fresh air. Auspuftgas = exhaust gas. Tankstellung = refuelling.
    Frisch und sauber = fresh and clean.
    I'm sure I'll have got something wrong, but my German is well and truly rusty!!

    The German military used have lots of Sachs two strokes running charging sets, from the look of the drive end on that engine it's likely that is what that one originally had unless it was a pump. There is a you tuber goes by the name of "the post apocalyptic inventor" that recently got a whole bunch of Sachs gen sets and renovated them. heres a link.th-cam.com/video/oaP-DABtThE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mxdklXVe2AG4aTuY

    DUDE!! REMOVE THE TANK AND CLEAN IT BEFORE YOU TRY TO START THAT ENGINE!! OTHERWISE YOU'LL BE CLEANING THAT CARB. AGAIN!!
    YOU'RE BENDING THE CRAP OUT OF THAT TANK MOUNT!! You will have to fill that tank with Vap-O-Rust and lots of nuts & bolts and shake the CRAP
    out of it! You will also need to TRY and use the ultra sonic to clean that fitting, or replace it. It's running rough because that Carb. needs cleaning! SOME MORE!
    Or it needs rings. I'd check the oil level. If your going to put it aside, shut the fuel off and run it until the Carb. is out of fuel, otherwise it will just varnish up!!
    ---
    You need to watch: *James Condon* on how to clean Tanks and Carb's. CORRECTLY!
